Berries

Since you're the leader of Project BerryDex; Takharii suggested on the project talk page that a template should be developed for their locations. I've made an example, but I was wondering 1) whether you think it's a good idea and 2) whether I should use colour from the Berry infobox or the colourscheme for the berry pocket of the bag? Thanks in advance. Werdnae (talk) 07:42, 4 May 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, this looks cool. I think it's a good idea, but could use some refining. For example, I'd like to see a show/hide function for each game. So I'd be looking at a list of games and see "oh, I'm playing RSE, I can get the Wepear berry over here" without having to scroll down an immense table. I'm down with you using the colorschemes, though. Thanks for helping out!--RexRacer 19:51, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
A bit like this? I had to make the game labels horizontal so that they would show/hide correctly, so I gave them the colour, but then they were too hard to see, so I made the dark bits light and the light bits dark. Shold I leave them like that or just make the headings white so the game labels are clearer? Werdnae (talk) 22:08, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
Since TTE's done a bit of a redesign of some of the templates I've stolen some of his coding and made the template look similar. I'm not to sure about the current design though - it needs the lighter bars so that people can tell which show tag is for which game, but they kinda look tacked on and out of place. What do you think? Werdnae (talk) 05:40, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
I think it looks awesome.--RexRacer 17:49, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
So should I put it into use, or should I fist check with the lord high Echidna? Werdnae (talk) 18:42, 26 May 2010 (UTC)

Will you ban me?

HEY! Why did you delete the page I made?! Your damn lucky I saved it, cause you deleted it! I'll just keep posting it, you know that! I had it on there for 5 damn minutes! And it got deleted! You're a JERK! And a nerd! You spend all day on Bulbapedia so 5 minutes after you see someones page, you can DELETE it! I will spam up this site! Im putting the page back up. If you want the site spammed, then just delete it again. - unsigned comment from Mynameistikal (talkcontribs)

lol--RexRacer 00:44, 6 May 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, Rex, you jerk. Don't break the wiki. I'm gonna spam up your talk page... —darklordtrom 01:30, 6 May 2010 (UTC)

unabuse

Hey, a little over ten days ago you put me on abuse and you said to ask you about it again after 10 days, and i've edited quite a few things since then and I was wondering if it was possible for you to take me off of it yet. Thanks, --SanjayasMyPapaya 03:13, 8 May 2010 (UTC)

hopefully not too annoying query

I was wondering why you deleted this page http://bulbanews.bulbagarden.net/w/index.php?title=File_talk:Pok%C3%A9Sun_May09_10.png&action=edit&redlink=1 I was really hoping for an answer to my question Kanjo 00:44, 9 May 2010 (UTC)

@ Kanjo, the reason it's removed is because it's speculation. That sort of stuff is meant for the forums. ht14 03:30, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
but my comment? I seen the speculation bit but it had nothing to do with what I said Kanjo 09:19, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
It was probably gotten off of 2ch or something.--RexRacer 15:04, 9 May 2010 (UTC)

Delete my account

I want to create another account but I don't want to keep this one. As I don't want to have two accounts here. Can you delete it for me? --Axcel Rhode 20:16, 31 May 2010 (UTC)Axcel Rhode

You can't exactly "delete" an account per se; you can only request a username change. I'm not an admin, but just to tell you. ht14 20:45, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
Also, we don't normally allow the creation of additional accounts. If you could explain the reasons that would help. --electAbuzzzz 22:11, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, why do you want to delete your account?--RexRacer 22:16, 31 May 2010 (UTC)

I have a column reqeust, and I was checking what you thought of it. It would basically be reviews of past anime episodes (I would review every episode, movie, short, etc. in chronological order). Anyway:

Synopsis: On his tenth birthday, Ash Ketchum watches a battle on television, ready to become a trainer himself the next day. However, Ash’s mum comes in, and tells Ash to go bed, although letting him watch a lecture on tv in the meantime. At night, he dreams of the starter pokemon, but he breaks his alarm clock in his sleep, and he is late. He then runs all the way to Professor Oak’s lab. Outside the lab, Ash gets through the crowd, who are all cheering on his lifelong rival; Gary Oak. After showing off his starter, he drives off to start on his journey. Meanwhile, Professor Oak comes out to meet Ash, who is eager to ge this starter. After finding out that all the other pokemon had been chosen already, the professor finally gives Ash a ‘shocking’ partner; Pikachu, the electric mouse. After ‘sparking’ a bad relationship, Ash and his partner start off their journey, at Route 1. Once Ash listens to the pokedex, he learns to be kinder to Pikachu, and starts off by taking its lead off. Ash then sets his eyes on a wild Pidgey. However, Pikachu won’t attack it, and instead runs off, leaving Ash to fight it on his own.

However, the Pidgey easily escapes Ash’s first pokeball, but he learns from the pokedex that he must fight it using a pokemon. He then traps it with his pyjama shirt, and then tries to catch it, but just like the first time, it proves to be unsuccesful. After a Rattata rummages through his belongings, he unleashes all his rage upon a group of Pidgey, throwing a rock at them. A Spearow appears, but thinking it’s a Pidgey, Ash throws a rock at it also, enraging it. It then wrongly tries to attack Pikachu, who uses Thundershock on it so that it can’t attack it. A flock of Spearow then tries to attack Ash and Pikachu, who run towards a river, jumping straight in. Meanwhile, Misty is fishing, and fishes up Ash and his Pikachu, who jump straight on Misty’s bike without asking. Ash cycles away from the Spearow at a high speed. After falling off the bike, Pikachu jumps up from Ash’s shoulder, and defeats the entire Spearow flock. After the trouble is over, Ash witnesses a legendary pokemon flying in the sky, although the pokedex couldn’t recognize it. They finally get to Viridian City, ready to heal up Pikachu.

After the synopsis, I will say my thoughts on it, and then I will note the dub edits, animation errors, my opinion on it out of ten, etc. So what do you think about it? Would this be good enough? --Don't Hug Lucario! 20:57, 19 July 2010 (UTC)Don't Hug Lucario

Lucario, I actually think Bulbanews has done something like this before, though I'd have to check. Bulbapedia isn't really the place to discuss something like this, especially when there's a lot of back and forth that inevitably happens when starting a new column. I'd prefer to talk about it over e-mail, which you can find via the "E-mail this user" option on the side of my userpage. See ya,--RexRacer 21:50, 19 August 2010 (UTC)

Local Bugs & Local Birds

Hi! I'm new on this wiki. I've been always a fan of Pokémon and each newcoming generation makes my heart explode of joy...and because of this I wanted to signalate you something that I noted repeting each generation. In each generation I noted that there are a series of Pokémon who share a lot things in common with each other. I called them the "Local Bugs" and the "Local Birds".From what I noted the Local Bugs are a group of Pokémon who, hence the name, are all bug-typed. In each generation appear two final evolution of this bug-types who are conterpart to each other. The Local Birds are instead a group of Pokémon based on birds who are a always Normal/Flying type. In each generation the Local Bugs are: Butterfree & Beedrill in Generation I, Ledian & Ariados in Generation II, Beautifly & Dustox in Generation III, Wormadam & Mothim in Generation IV and Hahakomori & Pendora in Generation V. The Local Birds are: Pidgeot in Generation I, Noctowl in Generation II, Swellow in Generation III, Staraptor in Generation IV and Kenhorou in Generation V. I've also noted that the Local Bugs and the Local Birds are strictly related in terms of evolution: in Generation I Butterfree, Beedrill and Pidgeot are in a two-stages evolutionary line and in Generation II Noctowl, Ledian and Ariados are in one-stage evolutionary line. In Generation III Beautifly and Dustox are in a two-stages branched evolutionary line meanwhile Swelllow is in a one-stage evolutionary line. Counterwise, in generation IV Staraptor is in a two-stages evolutionary line meanwhile Wormadam and Mothim are in a one-stage branched evolutionary line. In Generation V, same as Generation I, Kenhorou, Hahakomori and Pendora are in a two-stages evolutionary line. Of coursely I don't think to be the only one who noted this, but I would like if you can take in consideration my opinion to write an article about this (I can't, because honestly if I will write this article this would be my first article, and I don't want to ruined the articles). Thanks for read my propost.--PERSONA 11:18, 29 September 2010 (UTC)

That's pretty basic Pokemon 101. Don't really think it needs an article, thanks for your interest though.--RexRacer 21:57, 3 October 2010 (UTC)

Protection to guard against Speculation

I just found out on Serebii about another IGN posting of English names for Black and White, and since I recall that IGN (other than Serebii itself) is not crediable enough, I just want to let you know on what is happening. -Tyler53841 22:34, 27 January 2011 (UTC)

B&W Mall Tour

Hey Rex, I was wondering if you need an article for the Pokemon Black and White mall tour that is going on right now. I believe it should be coming to town near the end of the month, and was curious as to what you thought. I heard that they are supposed to have a Poke Center set-up shop...

Thanks! —MasterKenobi 03:42, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

This mall tour? Werdnae (talk) 04:12, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
Yes, I do believe that is the only Mall Tour going on ANYWHERE. I'm planning on going regardless, and if you'd like an article and a few pictures on the Event I'd be more than happy to type one up. —MasterKenobi 19:28, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
While I don't want to write an article just about the fact that they're still ongoing (as that's a bit bland), if you could maybe take some photos and write a review encouraging/discouraging others from going and explain from a fan's perspective of what's going on... that'd be good. It would depend on when in the lineup you'll be attending. —darklordtrom 06:48, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
That makes perfect sense. I would be happy to write a persuasion article and would be able to get some pretty good pictures of the event, as the ones I have seen are all pretty Amateur from Fansites. I'd be happy to give you the detail when it is, I will just PM you on the forums sometime soon. Thanks Trom. —MasterKenobi 08:38, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

Bulbanews Idea?

I have a opinion piece idea for Bulbanews. Remember when we had April Fools Day and there was an article on Bulbanews about EP035? Well, I was wondering if I could make a column about serious reviews for anime episodes. I would love to write pieces like that. Please take my idea into consideration. Thank you. :--SuperAipom7 (Questions?) 15:50, 7 May 2011 (UTC)

Sorry, make that EP038, the Porygon episode. :--SuperAipom7 (Questions?) 15:51, 7 May 2011 (UTC)
Never mind, I guess... :--SuperAipom7 (Questions?) 02:36, 28 May 2011 (UTC)
E-mail is generally best for contacting me. I've been super busy IRL recently but I'm a little better now. See here for the proper way to contact us about a column. Thanks for your interest!--RexRacer 04:21, 28 May 2011 (UTC)

BerryDex

Is there any way to show Dream World info on the berry articles? I don't see any Dream World info on the articles Oran Berry or Nanab Berry. Otherwise, it would seem like you couldn't obtain many berries in Black and White. --Enervation 21:18, 28 September 2011 (UTC)

Put the locations in parameters DW1, DW2, DW3 and DW4 of the berryloc template. Werdnae (talk) 22:27, 28 September 2011 (UTC)

Berry tag sprites from Generation III

Should I upload the berry tag sprites from Generation III? I have them still with their descriptions saved to my computer and could easily clean and upload them soon. I think something like TagCheriIII would work. (And yes, I know I cannot upload until the archives are unlocked.) --Abcboy (talk) 11:14, 22 July 2012 (UTC)

Berry tags? This may just be me being stupid but I don't think I know what you're talking about.--RexRacer 01:46, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
That is Generation IV's tag sprite.   This is Pumkin's tag sprite.

They are both from berry tags. Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald have Pumkin-like sprites for all the other berries like Cheri and Chesto. Bulbapedia doesn't have those (yet), so I am wondering if I can upload them. Abcboy (talk) 04:22, 30 July 2012 (UTC)

So can I upload them? --Abcboy (talk) 00:46, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
Hey dude, sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. Honestly it has been years since I exercised any sort of authority over the berry articles as project leader. Since your question is image-related, I'd ask Kogoro, since she's the Archives director. Sorry I couldn't be more help. --RexRacer 02:37, 14 November 2012 (UTC)
Okay. --Abcboy (talk) 02:38, 14 November 2012 (UTC)

I was wondering why you deleted this page over on Bulbanews. Did cause me a good deal of problem trying to find it after you deleted it and then I saw that you deleted the page and I wanted to know what the reason was for deleting the page.TrainerX493 (talk) 14:57, 11 April 2014 (UTC)

Hey there! Long time

Hi! Hope you are doing well. I'm just messaging to mention that we've started a new Retired Staff usergroup, and you're in it! It's our new way of keeping track and giving thanks to anyone and everyone who has been a part of the Bulbapedia team. There are a number of user rights associated with it that can be discovered here. If you ever find yourself editing again, you are welcome to one of the active usergroups as needed. Thanks for everything you have done! MaverickNate 13:50, 5 July 2023 (UTC)
