By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Synopsis

I checked over your synopsis, and over all it was good! The only problem were the links. Instead of using [link to page name of page] you can just link to pages using brackets ([[]]). For some things though, you should use link templates. So for the Adventures characters, you can use {{adv|name of character}} which links directly to the Adventures character's page (so for example {{adv|Gold}} links to Gold). For moves use {{m|name of move}} so instead of [[Slash]], you would use {{m|Slash}} which also links directly to the move of that name. And finally, for trainer classes, you use {{tc|}} which links directly to the trainer class of that name. All of this avoids disambiguation pages. For other link templates go here. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 14:39, 22 March 2013 (UTC)

The Pokémon Egg sync pairs

Should I just copy the info onto Scottie and Bettie’s pages?--KnightGalarie (talk) 23:15, 10 July 2020 (UTC)

Yeah that's probably fine. Meanscreen (talk) 23:38, 10 July 2020 (UTC)

Grimsley (Kimono)

(Edit) Do you have Kimono Grimsley's emote files? His emote links are broken. Also, I wonder where you get sprites from?--GroundNecton (talk) 15:55, 5 March 2022 (UTC)

I get all the trainer emotes from this folder: https://mega.nz/folder/5Q8iga5Y#CcHEIULdiigckfDqahIpKQ/folder/xA9y3RLI . This MEGA drive has pretty much everything obtained from datamines. Meanscreen (talk) 17:13, 6 March 2022 (UTC)

Mindscape origins?

I've been wondering if a Masters character's origin section could also contain the origin behind their sync move mindscape? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 20:05, 16 June 2022 (UTC)

Hmm, I personally don't feel it's necessary, since their origin is put in the gallery usually. Meanscreen (talk) 20:43, 16 June 2022 (UTC)

Pokemon Pages

The reason that Leon's Charizard doesn't have its own page at present is because admin deem it not notable enough to have its own page so please don't move someone's userpage article of it until it gets approved, plus I'd already started work on my own userpage for Leon's Charizard.--BigDocFan (talk) 21:59, 15 July 2022 (UTC)

Leon's Charizard

Please do not do as you please. Leon's Charizard is not notable for an article as all it has done is battle. Even if the Masters 8 tournaments are notable battle, it is still just a battle. It needs to do something outside of battling to be notable. The only non battle thing it did was training, if you could call it that, and even then all it did was smash some rocks and fly through a waterfall. Definitely not notable. Because of your actions, I have move protected both HygorBH and BigDocFan's drafts and fully protected the Leon Charizard redirect. Next time, do not do thing on impulse. Ask before you do.--ForceFire 05:36, 16 July 2022 (UTC)

Wow, I just went to your talk page and you are WEIRDLY persistent about his Charizard not being notable. Seems like a weird double standard when pages such as Skyla's Swanna exist. Aren't there other staff members that could give a second opinion? I highly doubt others would agree about his Charizard not being notable. Meanscreen (talk) 17:05, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
Because it doesn't meet the notability requirements. The requirements ask that it does more than battling, regardless of how important the battle is. The requirements doesn't take into account what kind of battle it is, therefore, it needs to do more than battle. As for Swanna, if you check its history, you could see it was moved by an admin, so it must've been approved at that point.--ForceFire 17:22, 17 July 2022 (UTC)

Move types in the Pokémon Masters EX game

Hello, Meanscreen. I hope that this day is treating you well.

Getting down to business: In the history of the article Erika (Masters), I've read your comment about status moves not being considered for move types in Pokémon Masters EX. I get your reasoning, but did you know that that note doesn't seem to take another game feature into account?

Here, I'll explain. In that game, as you select a sync pair to add to a team, click on the button "Filter." In the Filter section, go to the the sub-section "Known Moves," and in there, click on the filter button "Move Type." You'll be able to pick from the 18 types; select only Poison and hit "Close" twice. Now, do you see Erika & Tangela among Poison-type sync pairs (and maybe others depending on your barracks)? I do. This shows that status moves are considered move types in Pokémon Masters EX. The icons on sync pairs' portraits only show the types of their attacks in their initial forms, which is why you will also see Gladion & Silvally in the same results if you have them. Do you see what I mean? You've definitely picked up something; I hope that these explanations clarified your discovery and taught you new things. Solemn Mac (talk) 03:34, 13 August 2022 (UTC)

Edit warring

If you disagree with someone about an edit, please take it to a talk page before letting it devolve into edit warring like on List of sync pairs. We count 3 edits to be edit warring, so please stop before it gets to that point. There's no right side in these things: even if you think you're right, take it to the talk page or at most to an admin (the only exception being outright vandalism). These things should be talked out on the talk page rather than going back and forth over the same thing. Tiddlywinks (talk)

Sygna Suit Cynthia trivia

Noticed you added a piece of trivia (only visible to editors atm) on Cynthia's page about Sygna Suit Cynthia and Kommo-o having the shortest amount of time between their grid expansions. Nine days is a pretty short period, but...wouldn't that record still be held by Lance and Dragonite, who received both their extra grid expansions on the same day? Or is there some reason why Lance doesn't qualify for this criteria? Storm Aurora (talk) 05:32, 18 January 2024 (UTC)

Hmm, that's an interesting point. I guess a better wording would be that she has the shortest duration between separate grid expansions, since Lance got his grid expanded all at once? Meanscreen (talk) 17:04, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
Hm, I see your point. I guess if the trivia specifies that she has the shortest duration between grid expansions on separate days, that'd be fine. By my logic, any pair who releases with an expanded grid and fair-exclusive tiles is receiving two grid expansions on the same day. Storm Aurora (talk) 19:41, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
