Welcome to Bulbapedia, MH!

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Page button. Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Also, if you want to edit multiple sections of the page, make sure that you click "edit this page" at the top of the page rather than editing it by section. Thanks! --Tyler53841 (talk) 21:38, 13 December 2015 (UTC)

I use it very often, but sometimes there are some little mistakes. MH (talk) 15:33, 14 December 2015 (UTC)

IMDB

Are you using IMDB as a source for all of your recent edits? Because if you are, then I'm here to tell you that IMDB IS NOT a reliable source since it can be edited by anyone, thus the information can be FALSE. Thank you.--ForceFire 12:04, 17 February 2016 (UTC)

Voice actors

May I ask where you're getting your voice actor information, such as what you added here and here? Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 17:22, 12 September 2016 (UTC)

In the case of the Dratini/Dragonair that was befriended by Kaiser, Yumi Tōma's article says that she voiced it in that episode. The source for Mewtwo's Hungarian voice actor is the page of the first movie in Hungarian-language Wikipedia and this page. MH (talk) 17:27, 12 September 2016 (UTC)
Thanks. It looks like Dratini/Dragonair have been on Yumi Tōma's page since it was created, with no citation given at that time, so I have no way to judge whether they're valid, so I guess I'll leave them. However, Wiki pages and IMDB or IMDB-like websites are not suitable proof for voice actor listings, since any user on those sites can add or change the information. Therefore, I'll have to remove Mewtwo's Hungarian voice actor. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 17:32, 12 September 2016 (UTC)

Swedish names for Male and Female

May I wonder out of curiosity to where you got the words Hane and Hona for Male and Female from? --Raltseye prata med mej 20:45, 1 December 2016 (UTC)

From this site: https://gosverige.se/hur-du-forbereder-dig-infor-generation-2/ MH (talk) 07:34, 2 December 2016 (UTC)
But that is a fan site and is therefore not counted as an official source. I have reverted your edit for now until an official source confirms this. --Raltseye prata med mej 12:14, 2 December 2016 (UTC)

Can I help work?

I love your Appearances of the anime characters project (I like it so much, I'm making a similar thing for the Pokémon Adventures manga.

I came here to ask if I can help, I mainly want to work on the Other temporary characters page. I know you list characters having a "cameo" if they don't speak/barley do anything in an episode, but I'm bad at telling if a character makes a cameo or not, so I think you'll have to do that. - Super10ZX 19:25, Feb 5 2017 (UTC)

I am very delighted that my project has received recognition. In those pages, I have a manner of using the word "cameo" for the appearances in which a character doesn't have a speaking role. But however, there is no "cameo" word in the episode pages. MH (talk) 12:27, 6 February 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for clearing that up :D
So may I help out? - Super10ZX 22:06, Feb 6 2017 (UTC)
Yes, as long as you don't delete anything. Those are nonetheless my userpages. MH (talk) 06:59, 7 February 2017 (UTC)
MASSIVE THANKS!!!!! If one of your pages happens to go blank after I edit one, I'm sorry. I'm not even high enough rank to delete pages yet. - Super10ZX 14:04, Feb 7 2017 (UTC)

Regarding your edit to SM020

Please do not remove the space between the last word and exclamation and question marks in French episode names as it's a grammatical rule in French. Unless it's specifically spelled that then yes but regularly it's not so don't remove it unless you know otherwise. Thanks. --Raltseye prata med mej 20:07, 7 October 2017 (UTC)

Finnish names

Do you happen to have access to any Finnish dubbed episodes that are not available on Pokémon TV? Because I've found several things that appear in those episodes and have their Finnish names missing from Bulbapedia. I'm not asking for links or anything like that. I would just want to know those names and/or have them be added to Bulbapedia. Yours truly, a fellow Finn, FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 08:29, 14 October 2018 (UTC)

I have every episode in Finnish from season 1 to 17 and every movie from 1 to 4 and 10 to 16 on my computer, they were uploaded from here, shared by Nik0025:

There are direct links to these episodes from here:

  • (movies 1–7 and 10–20)
  • (seasons 1–6 and first 22 episodes of season 7)
  • (rest of season 7, seasons 8–9 in whole and first 46 episodes of season 10)
  • (rest of season 10, seasons 11–13 in whole and first 24 episodes of season 14)
  • (rest of season 14, seasons 15–16 in whole and first 25 episodes of season 17)
  • (rest of season 17 and seasons 18–19)

MH (talk) 08:43, 14 October 2018 (UTC)

Also, this site has all Finnish dubbed episodes from seasons 1 and 3 (episodes starting with Princess vs. Princess are not available on Pokémon TV). MH (talk) 08:47, 14 October 2018 (UTC)
Thank you! You're awesome! Although, I must admit, the episode has probably evaded me the longest is the first Mystery Dungeon special episode. I don't recall seeing its Finnish dub since it came out on TV years ago, and it also has a lot of Finnish names that I can't recall. If you don't have it, that's understandable. Just thought I'd say that too. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 08:59, 14 October 2018 (UTC)
Unfortunately, I don't have that one or haven't ever seen it uploaded on Internet. MH (talk) 09:07, 14 October 2018 (UTC)
Figured as much. Special episodes can be really elusive. Kinda surprising the Mystery Dungeon special episodes weren't on Pokémon TV to promote the release of Super Mystery Dungeon a few years back. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 09:42, 14 October 2018 (UTC)

Please do not post pirated episodes on Bulbapedia. Tiddlywinks (talk) 13:37, 14 October 2018 (UTC)

Oh, I'm really sorry. MH (talk) 14:05, 14 October 2018 (UTC)

Dub SM083 Title Read

BigDocFan (talkcontribs) says that it has discussed on the forum that WTP SM dubbed narration by the main characters are not normal but why is Ash in his shrunken voice on SM083 notable? PokéSean (talk) 00:05, 14 November 2019 (UTC)

I really don't know. But at least in the Finnish dub (my native language), Ash's normal voice was used instead of the shrunken one. MH (talk) 10:54, 14 November 2019 (UTC)
Sure! Says you! In my opinion, I think that the SM series should only have WTP dub segments read by the main focus (even in their shrunken voices of they narrated the title)/ - unsigned comment from PokéSean (talkcontribs)
