Welcome

Welcome to Bulbapedia, InuMimi!

As a new user, you may wish to learn a few things that will be useful in your editing:

  • For a basic overview of wiki code, see this page.
  • The manual of style is very important. Make sure to read it. It outlines all official policies of Bulbapedia.
  • The word Pokémon is spelled with a capital P and an accented é. The P, of course, is accessed easily by holding Shift and pressing the P key, while the é can be accessed using Alt + 130 or Alt + 0233 on a Windows computer, and Option + e, then e again on a Mac. Otherwise, you can click it in the character palette below the editbox.
  • The word Poké Ball is spelled as two words. The "Poké" part is identical to the four beginning letters in "Pokémon"; "Ball" is spelled with a captial B (which is, again, accessed by holding Shift and pressing the B key). The spelling "Pokéball" arises frequently, but is incorrect.
  • The word "you" and all forms of it should not be used on encyclopedic pages unless it is a quote from Pokémon media. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, not a walkthrough.
  • On talk pages, please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
  • The use of link templates is official policy. For an explanation on their use, see the page on shortlinks.
  • If you happen to spot a vandal in the recent changes that has not been dealt with, please see this page for how to deal with it.
  • A list of pages that are linked to, but have not been created, can be found at this page. A list of short articles that may require more information can be found here, while a list of articles that need improvement can be found here.
  • A list of the admins that you can contact in case of a problem, can be found here.

Thank you, and have a good time editing here! Moldy orange 04:17, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

Capitalization

Version names are always capitalized. Pokémon Red and Blue, not pokemon red/blue. TTEchidna GSDS! 05:56, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

And names

Don't simply link as [[version name]]. There are many characters with the names of the versions. the page on the Yellow version of the Pokémon storyline is at Pokémon Yellow Version, which can be pipe linked. TTEchidna GSDS! 04:53, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

Link Templates

Please use link templates when linking to stuff such as Pokémon names, attacks, and the like. For example, {{p|Regigigas}} instead of just [[Regigigas]]. This is so you don't unintentionally link to a disambiguation page.

For a full crash course on link templates, look at the shortlinks. --Shiningpikablu252 14:42, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

Signature

Your signature appears to include an image. This is against the new signature policy. Please change your signature to comply with the policy guidelines. Thank you. --Martonimos((Argh|Blargh)) 05:45, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

Raikou

Where are you getting this pronunciation of rai-ko from? - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 01:02, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

Fox

Fox isn't a proper noun in the case that it's used for the Eeveelutions. So please don't capitalize it. Chocolate 19:17, 8 November 2008 (UTC)

Your userpage

Please remove the codings of the usertags from your userpage. Just replace them with the name of the template within {{ and }}. For example, if you want to display that "This user supports SOVA" thing, just add {{User SOVA}}. This will ensure that your userpage is not listed along with the other categories. If you want, you can see my userpage codes for an example, but make sure that you don't destroy it. Thank you.--Diby 13:18, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

Please

Slow down on editing the User: namespace. There are only three userspace edits allowed per day, and you have gone over the limit. Editing your userpage too much will lead to it being locked again. Instead of making multiple small edits, why not instead use the preview button (Alt + Shift + P) to check your edits before saving the page? Thank you. ----The Kkllnnator カメックス 21:24, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

Hold on!

If you did not read your last warning, then please read it now. You have gone over the daily limit for editing the User: namespace. Please do not edit your page any more for today, as it is hard on the server. Thank you, --RexRacer -talk 21:25, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

Alas,

It is against the rules to remove stuff from your talk page unless you are archiving itDCM((曲奇饼妖怪Spy on My Edits))

Ok, thank you for answering so quickly ^^ --いぬみみ 23:55, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

No problem. Consider it a giftDCM((曲奇饼妖怪Spy on My Edits))

Re: Content Box

To do so, I just added the text __NOTOC__ to the page. Adding that anywhere will automatically override any TOC (table of contents) on the page. Note that there are two underscores, not one, at either end of the code. If there is anything else you ever need help with, feel free to ask. I am somewhat experienced in the wikicoding area, so should hopefully be able to answer any questions you may have, otherwise I should know where to look for the answer. Happy editing! — THE TROM — 04:38, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
