Persons' Name in the anime Last name Pronunciation, if needed/Origin Reason
Lucian Victor English, French, Portuguese, Romanian, Late Roman; Roman name meaning "victor" in Latin. Lucian is a Romanian name, so I decided to give him a Romanian-looking last name.
Cynthia Victor, née Theophilus Greek name meaning "lover of God" Cynthia is a Greek name, so I decided to give her a Greek last name.
Aaron Beech Derived from the Greek word phegos, which means "oak" and possible connected to the word "edible". It's not really a last name (not that I know of), but it's still cool.
Flint Theophilus (his adopted name), Abel (his original name) English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Biblical, Biblical Latin, Biblical Greek; From the Hebrew name הֶבֶל (Hevel) or הָבֶל (Havel) which meant "breath". He doesn't know his original last name due to being adopted.
Liza Beech, née Williams English; From the Germanic name Willahelm, which was composed of the elements wil "will, desire" and helm "helmet, protection". Liza looked kind of like a English name, so I gave her an English last name.
Tate Williams See above See above
Roxanne Williams, née Rose English, French, German, Scottish, Jewish; Means "rose" from the Middle English, Old French and Middle High German rose, also to denote someone with a rosy complexion. It's a popular last name, distantly related to Crasher Wake (Ty).
Candice Theophilus, née Kerr Scottish; Derived from a place name meaning "rough wet ground" in Old Norse. I made her part Scottish, and Kerr is a good last name.
Winona Watt; née Vogel German; From Middle High German vogel meaning "bird". It's a no-brainer.
Volkner Watt English, Scottish; An English and Scottish surname derived from the given name Wat, which in turn, is a medieval English given name, short for Walter. I thought it would be appropriate, him being related to James Watt (the man whom created the watt)
Roark Cobble Middle English meaning 'paving stone', probably a diminutive of cob (which in turn derives from Old Norse meaning 'something rounded') I dunno whether it's a last name or not, but it seemed a bit appropriate.
