Well, since TTE made an article about reasons why there could be a Gen. IV remake of Gold and Silver. This article is about evidence against it. Of course, I support the remakes, but I am very pessimistic...

The rest of Generation I wasn't remade

In Generation III, Pokémon fans were overjoyed to be able to go back to Kanto in the remakes of the original Pokémon games, Pokémon Red and Green Versions. However, these were not followed by the customary third version, despite the fact that the originals had had two (Blue and Yellow). This may suggest that Game Freak has stopped making remakes.
