Release information

This card was included in the Neo Genesis expansion, first released in the Japanese Gold, Silver, to a New World... expansion. In Japan, it was reprinted as a promotional card for the release of Emperor of the Crystal Tower: Entei and was available at the 11th Next Generation World Hobby Fair held in January and February in 2000. This print only differs from the regular print by featuring "11th Annual World Hobby Fair Attendance Commemoration card" on the bottom right of the card border. Another promotional variant was released in Japan for those who participated in the Champion Road tournament held in January 2000. This print differs from the regular print by featuring "Champion Road 2000 Attendance Commemoration card" on the bottom right of the card border and gold foil on the expansion symbol in place of the regular black.

A Jumbo version was one of three cards available in copies of the Johto First Partner Pack, released on September 3, 2021 to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the Pokémon franchise. This print features a foil Pokémon 25th Anniversary logo in the bottom right corner of the illustration window.
