Why is the Johto Region League listed as "Silver Conference"? It's anime-only. The template is supposed to be game-based, isn't it. - unsigned comment from Maxim (talkcontribs)

Orange Islands are on there. Therefore, we can assume it's cross-canon. By the way, please remember to sign your comments. --Pie 17:12, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

Cross-Canon? The name "Silver Conference" is not mentioned in games and the league is in Indigo Plateau not Mt. Silver. That's not cross canon! I think it should say: "Silver Conference at Mt. Silver in anime, Johto League at Indigo Plateau in the games." But that require too much space - Maxim

When I made the template yesterday, I tried to make it so that it would divide between, making the one for Indigo Plateau go under the Johto section as well as the Silver conference, but I wasn't able to. I was attempting to make it cross-canon, just like how the pages on the regions, professors, and teams are. However, it didn't render right, and it would've looked a bit weird anyway, so I left it as just Silver Conference for Johto. Then it was for game canon vs. show canon that I didn't make the Orange TR the same square as the Sevii TR. I'll try to remedy it somehow... Tom Temprotran 06:04, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

Actually, the Map Item on Sevii Islands is a Town Map and a Sevii Islands Location (Mt. Ember) is featured in H018 - Maxim

Geez... that is a huge template...--PikamasterADV 18:57, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

Got some Questions:

1. Should the Town Map be used for the Sevii Islands? Since that is the Map Item you have in the games you can go there?

2. Why isn't Orre listed as Generation III? It is playable in games compatable with the 3rd Gen Adventures --PikamasterADV 23:12, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Fixed the Sevii anime status; I didn't realize that there was yet an episode featured there, but can you blame me? It's not even aired here yet... And the Town map for Sevii... eh, I suppose. As for why Orre's not part of Gen III, it's mostly because it's in what I consider to be more of a side game that's merely compatible with Gen III. I just used the main series, anyway, it'd be like putting White City in the template as well. Sure, Stadium 2 was compatible with Gen II, but it wasn't really part of the main series. Also, it'd be like putting Ranger in Gen IV. Tom Temprotran 07:10, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

Doesn't kanto, the orange and sevii island shared the smae pokedex? Pokeant 14:48, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

Sevii and Orange are debatable. In all technicalities, the Sevii Islands have the Kanto region's dex since they were in FRLG and are more closely connected... but really, they don't have their own specifically... no trainers we've played as got a Pokédex there. As for Orange, since the Anime never states explicitly any difference in order even in Hoenn, and there are even Kanto-only Pokémon there... eh, just leave them as having no regional dex order (which, by default would be the National Dex, anyway, far as I see it). Just where does the name "Duelist Region" come from? And TCG League, for that matter? -Happy Mask Man 18:37, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

Okay, this template doesn't need to be this big. People want to know this information about the regions? That's what the articles are for. Waiting for approval to knock down the size of this template several notches. --Pie 10:53, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

Do it!!! Ahem. - 振霖T 13:08, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
That's what I thought. Has been done. We really need a "bigger =/= better" policy page. --Pie 13:37, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
Eheh... Well, I just kept on thinking of things to feed into it. Sorry about making it tremendous when I first made it.
However, I do think there needs to be some sort of region infobox template like we have for the routes and locations, that would hold all of that information on the side of the page. Thoughts? Tom Temprotran 08:05, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
Perhaps a Browse page for it. - 振霖T 08:56, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
In the Overview category, I assume? Tom Temprotran 06:40, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
Well, yeah. Portal would be better, but, eh, is a table really a portal? - 振霖T 08:06, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
Beats me. I could do it like the Pokémon games page, though. Or I could try out my original idea of an infobox, with just parameters for the intro generation, games featured in, anime seasons, and league location. Maybe starters and Professor, too. Eh, whatever I do, it'll be after finishing up the Johto Routes, which won't be too much longer. Tom Temprotran 09:30, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

Allumia?

Wait... what? What's that from? Tina δ 20:02, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Check the Bulbanews article. --FabuVinny T-C-S 20:07, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
Ahh, I see now. Sorry, thought it was a fake region for a moment there! ^^; Tina δ 20:14, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Order

I'm assuming it's meant to be game regions on top, then other canon's below. I would think that if a game can interact with the main series games, its part of the main game canon, while games like Pokemon Snap or Channel are anime-based instead. Therefore, I think we should reorganize it liek this:

  • Kanto | Johto | Hoenn | Sinnoh | Sevii Islands | White City | Orre | Fiore | Almia | Poketopia
  • Pokemon World | Orange Islands | Mintale Town | TCG Island | Southern Islands | Holon

KrytenKoro 17:22, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

I don't think there's any particular reasoning for the order right now, though Holon definately needs to be moved to somewhere the other side of Sinnoh. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 17:55, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

Battle Zone

Apparently it is heavily implied to be a seperate or sub-region, like the Sevii islands, should it be added? XVuvuzela2010X 17:02, 17 February 2011 (UTC)

No. It is still a part of Sinnoh, like Hawaii is part of the United States.--Han Ji-Wan 18:59, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
I've always been confused as to why we think it is the same region too. I'm pretty sure there are other indications, but in the Fight Area a Battle Girl says "Your Pokémon are from Sinnoh aren't they? They're not what we're used to seeing around here." Is there evidence which indicates that the Battle Zone is part of Sinnoh? --SnorlaxMonster 08:05, 18 August 2011 (UTC)

Orange Archipelago

Is there any reason why the Orange Archipelago is listed as the Orange Islands on this template? I know the season was called Pokémon: Adventures in the Orange Islands, but the article about the region is named Orange Archipelago. It's a bit confusing, also because the new anime region, the Decolora Archipelago, isn't called the Decolora Islands either. BlazingFist ☼ 13:31, 29 April 2013 (UTC)

I'm actually not sure why it's like that. I'd be fine with changing it to the Orange Archipelago since that's what it links to. --Pokemaster97 14:26, 29 April 2013 (UTC)
Okay, I changed it now, if that's the case. BlazingFist ☼ 14:36, 29 April 2013 (UTC)

Sovereign states?

I think a few locations listed as "Sovereign states" are pretty big stretches. Guyana is only mentioned in the mansion journals- there's nothing about how its government is run. How can it be definitely said to be a sovereign state? The Ranger Union's also on there, but I can't find anything on the article about Pokemon Rangers or the Ranger Union stating that they're the government of their region. Isn't it just as possible that Pokemon Rangers are an international organization? TechSkylander1518 (talk) 06:17, 2 January 2021 (UTC)

Kitakami

The template suggests Kitakami is part of Paldea (it is listed in the same manner as Sevii Islands, Isle of Armor, and the Crown Tundra), which, from what I've gathered so far from the DLC, is not the case. They are very distant, both geographically and culturally, so I don't think it should be listed that way. Shinka (talk) 02:07, 14 September 2023 (UTC)
