Example
This is really, really minor, but on the description/example of the page, it says "OPB" instead of "OBP." Could a sysop edit that so it's the correct order of letters? - espeonA 05:27, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
- Also, shouldn't it say the output will be
<Pokémon>
instead of what is there now? — Laoris (Blah) 05:34, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
what does OBP stand for? --Hanmac
So, seriously.
Why do we have this? --((Marton imos)) 21:45, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
- No idea. Likely so we don't have to make a parenthetical template for damned everything. TTEchidna 04:01, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- Seeing as keyboards are already for lazy people who don't want to input the binary information for each character themselves, this template has no excuse to exist. -–<×vVvvv τλικ to ς1tHςι4γ3r ^^vVv×>–- 09:22, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

- If one can figure how to use
TCG ID
, then using this should come as a breeze. The main reason we have this template is so we don't have tons of near-useless link templates for minor disambiguations such as (dub), (Whirl Cup), or other disambiguating phrases with very few pages to its name. Link templates are used for many pages with disambiguating phrases, and this template ensures that all disambiguating phrases can be used with one--trust me, Battle Frontier as opposed to Battle Frontier is not "lazy". --Shiningpikablu252 14:31, 28 January 2009 (UTC)- Pshh, it's only 10 or so more characters. Learn to type faster xP. I mean, if we can actually bother going to detemplate every one of those pages and typing up their normal links instead, 10 or so more characters isn't so much. It's nothing to do with whether or not people can figure out how to use it. -–<×vVvvv τλικ to ς1tHςι4γ3r ^^vVv×>–- 19:08, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- When typing, it's just as easy to do Battle Frontier (dub) as it is to do Battle Frontier, and both get you the same thing. It takes up more space on the page, but at the same time, it doesn't involve a template invocation. I won't pretend to know how much strain that involves exactly, but this template definitely seems unnecessary. As far as deletion, I would subst it away before actually deleting it--if that's the consensus we come to. --((Marton imos)) 23:02, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

Edit Request
There is a "t" missing from "this" in the burb about how to use this. Truthseeker4449 01:22, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
Okay so this is really minor but
What on earth does OBP stand for? Someone asked the same thing, apparently, eight years ago and just got a "no idea"--does anyone know? It's just kind of bugging me. --Felthry (talk) 05:18, 27 January 2017 (UTC)
- Chances are only its creator, Pokémon Lover King Mario, knows... --SnorlaxMonster 06:58, 27 January 2017 (UTC)
- Might I suggest "Other/Opposite Bracket Part" or at least B stands for Bracket, that seems reasonable. --Raltseye prata med mej 10:08, 27 January 2017 (UTC)
- I was assuming something ending with "Parenthetical", personally. I just want to know what it stands for because that would help me remember it... Oh, maybe it ends with "Pokémon", since it could have originally been used like the p template is now? I don't know, it's not really worth worrying about. --Felthry (talk) 14:17, 27 January 2017 (UTC)
