Tar Shot (Japanese: タールショット Tar Shot) is a non-damaging Rock-type move introduced in Generation VIII. It is the signature move of Coalossal.

Effect

Tar Shot lowers the target's Speed stat by one stage. In addition, it doubles the effectiveness of Fire-type moves used on the target. Tar Shot will not double the effectiveness of Fire-type moves used on a target that is already under the effect of Tar Shot (but may still lower its Speed). A Tera Pokémon cannot become affected by the increased vulnerability to Fire-type attacks.

Generation VIII

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Tar Shot cannot be selected in a battle.
