Okay, now I gotta see Ash's. What episode was that in? TTEchidna 00:29, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Grammer

"However, with the bottom screen of the Nintendo DS adding to the display area in Generation IV, an actual badge case was added where Trainers could actually polish their badges using the stylus." I think that maybe one of the actulal(ly)s could be removed to improve the grammer of the whole sentance. Dolphins_are_awesome (and Vulpix are too)! 23:35, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

Limited time only two-for-one deal: both words have been removed. —darklordtrom 23:40, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

Score

Could we get a more detailed section on the Trainer Score? For example, if you complete the Sinnoh Pokédex you get 1000 points, National Pokédex is 10,000, etc. I don't know any other ways to get points, but I'm sure there are some.--JacobCrystal 01:30, 21 September 2009 (UTC)

TCG

Shouldn't this have a link at the top of the page for people looking for Trainer cards in the TCG? --AndyPKMN 12:20, 26 February 2010 (UTC)

Just plain Trainer card is a disambiguation page, so no. --Shiningpikablu252 15:40, 26 February 2010 (UTC)

Official names for the cards

Normal Card (red), Cobalt Card (blue), Olive Card (green), Violet Card (pink/purple), Gray Card (gray/silver) and Black Card (black). From the official HG/SS Guide. Should these be added to the article? FireMeowth 16:33, 1 May 2010 (UTC)

Thanks, done. —darklordtrom 03:38, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

Battle tower streak

Do you have to make the streak in single battle in order to obtain the star, or can you do it with friends, wi-fi, double battle, etc?

Nurse Joy's comment on the gold card.

When you go to a pokemon center for the first time after getting your Gold card in Emmeral, the nurse will make a comment, saying that it is the first time she has ever seen a trainer with the gold card. After that every time ou go heal up your pokemons, instead of the usual "Welcome to the pokemon center..." sentence, she says "I'm delighted to see you, [player]! You want the usual, am I right?". The rest of the conversation remains unchanged. It could be nice to have this info somewhere on the page, right? Does this also happen in any of the other games? Also, I only got the message quickly and didn't transcribe it. If someone can look into the program to check it and transcribe it, it could be cool. Cheers, Migrant 15:29, 1 November 2010 (UTC)

Trainer Stickers

I color-coded the headings on the table about the stickers in FR/LG to match the color of the sticker of each level. I think it was worth pointing out. :) PkmnChmp5 03:41, 13 July 2011 (UTC)

Details

Does anyone agree we should have a section somewhere where it says how to rank up the trainer card in each respective game? I can do that for all the DS games at least. Let me know. - unsigned comment from Cj1227 (talkcontribs)

We have that, you just didn't look hard enough. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 16:08, 19 October 2012 (UTC)

probably a dumb question but...

how do you make the 2 frame animation trainer card in pokemon black? it just says it happens and can't find info so must be obvious

Anything that is written in the blank space will be shown as 2 frame animation. It's not really 'animation' but shows the two frames one aftr the other that's all. Hope u got wat i meant.Auraguardian197 05:56, 4 May 2013 (UTC)

List of Trainer classes

I distinctly recall seeing a listing of the selectable Trainer classes somewhere on Bulbapedia, but I couldn't for the life of me find it. Could a link to it be added to this page near the discussion of who to talk to in which games to change it? ThomasWinwood (talk) 22:36, 24 May 2013 (UTC)

Gen VI info is missing

There is no info on the page despite the Pokémon Center Nurse article indicating silver and gold cards in XY.

I came to this article trying find out what I have to do to get the gold card only to be let down by the fact there is no info regarding this. 20:26, 20 February 2014 (UTC)

That information is actually in the Trainer stars article. Tiddlywinks (talk) 20:29, 20 February 2014 (UTC)

Gen I and II...

...had Trainer Cards too, even if the name "trainer card" wasn't mentioned in those games, and they worked similarly. Ericss (talk) 07:43, 20 June 2017 (UTC)

Trainer Card vs Badge Case

For the gallery, I propose that we have two subsections: One for the actual trainer cards, and one for the badge case view. Here's a game by game example.

  • For Gen 1 to 3, the badges are shown as small icons on the trainer card itself. However in Gen 1 & 2, when going to the "name" option in the main menu, the top half shows the trainer name, id no, and money. however the bottom half actually shows the play time first, and on pressing A, it goes to the "badges" view.
  • In Gen 3, the trainer card only toggles between the front and back of the card. In Gen 4, one screen always shows the badges while the other screen toggles between the front and back of the card.
  • However in Gen 5, the top screen always shows a generic "Pokemon League logo", and the bottom screen toggles between 3 views: front of the card, back of the card, and badges.
  • In Gen 6, the top shows trainer card and bottom shows badges. There is no back of the card. In Gen 7, the top shows trainer card, while the bottom shuffles through all the stamps. In Gen 8, 9 there is only a single screen.

I propose that all the images in the "Trainer card" gallery will be a collage of the front and back of the card (single screen) or just the front if there is no back. In the "Badge case" gallery, it will show both screens, only for games where the badges are shown. Thus this way everything will be covered properly. Thoughts? → PikaTepig999 04:53, 15 September 2023 (UTC)

A different way to approach this would be to have all 3 screens separately for each game, i.e. one image for front of traincer card, one image for the back, and another for the badges screen. → PikaTepig999 15:38, 15 September 2023 (UTC)
