I was under the assumption that their cheeks were made to look feline like.
you know kind of like how skunks are called polecats?

No, I'm pretty sure it's face is supposed to resemble a human buttocks. It's a skunk, skunks are often portrayed as being foul smelling creatures. What's a common type of foul smelling function of the body that is often portrayed humorously in the media? Flatulence. Where does flatulence come from? The buttocks. If a Pokémon based on an irl creature often portrayed as foul smelling were to have big cheeks, what are the cheeks more than likely based off of? The human buttocks! Even it's cry sounds like flatulence. To give the excuse that it is supposed to have cat-like facial features instead of it purposely looking like a human buttocks I think is just trying to censor this page and make it seem like "teh world of pokaman aint got no innuendoz or sense o humer!!!11!1".--Jake 14:22, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure there is no comfirmation ether way and I can see it being ether way or both. Cats have big cheeks and Stunky does have whiskers also, that and Skuntank's cheeks look more like a cat than a butt. On the other hand Jake does make a valid point as well. I say we put both in to avoid a senseless arguement and/or edit war that would possibly get someone banned for no good reason. --Superx 03:54, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
Upon looking at Stunky and Skuntank, I have to say, they're probably based more off a cat than a butt. The ears are obviously based off a cat instead of a skunk and they've even got whiskers and Skuntank's is obviously based off a cat face wise. I have two cats and though Stunky's cheeks are overly large, the resemblence is there. I would agree with this but I think the cat ears are just a way to get attention away from the but cheeks...sorry but they Have to have made it look like that on purpose..and didn't want any trouble so they added the ears....I say this because if you listen carefully to stunky and skuntank's cry they both sound like a fart...so they knew what they were doing.
