I think it should be noted that all four Pokémon that can learn the move are part of the same legendary group. When I first read that it was the signature move of four different Pokémon (which aren't related by evolution) I was somewhat confused. --Locrian 13:54, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

  • I wrote that myself, so I agree with this statement. "All part of the Musketeer quartet," or something like that. They all get STAB, too; that should be noted. Yurtablemoron 15:45, 7 October 2010 (UTC)
    • I say we vote if this should be considered a signature move. This move was clearly meant only for these 4 Pokémon. They might not evolve into each other, but they're related by Poké-mythology, literary reference and are a group. I say by those reasons it is a signature move. If the case were different and was a move that say the Musketeer Pokémon and say Pidgey could learn, wholly unrelated Pokémon, that would be a different circumstance. --*Ɣℯ№ӎօṫհ* 03:26, 8 October 2010 (UTC)

Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion cannot be caught at a level less than 42, so saying that they learn the move at level 42 may be misleading (or even incorrect, but who knows). Thoughts/corrections/insults/cookies? Piraka~Mistika 21:58, 29 March 2012 (UTC)

Trivia

Keldeo actually doesn't learn Sacred Sword, it learns Secret Sword, a completely different move. Not only is it Special, as opposed to Physical, its base power is 85 instead of 90. Permission to delete the Trivia? KyuremsIceBlade (talk) 21:50, 15 June 2012 (UTC)

According to Keldeo's page, it learns both. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 21:54, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
Ah, sorry about that. I wasn't paying attention, as always... I sounded pretty high and mighty up there... again, sorry... KyuremsIceBlade (talk) 03:46, 17 June 2012 (UTC)

Confirmation on Pokemon X and Y official website

As of recently, the official website stated that the Generation VI pokemon, Doublade, can learn Sacred Sword The Seeker (talk) 23:51, 26 September 2013 (UTC)

Yes, we know. That's why the page says the move is no longer a signature move. Ataro (talk) 23:52, 26 September 2013 (UTC)

PP change

This page says the PP for this move was changed from 20 to 15, but it doesn't appear on the list of modified moves as such, and I haven't found that change on other sites as well. el shendee (talk) 14:17, 14 November 2013 (UTC)

Bypass target changes

The description mentioned that this move bypasses Defense and evasion boosts, but what about Defense and evasion decreases? ht14 18:00, 24 December 2015 (UTC)
