Deletion???

Why does this deserve a page??? It WAS NEVER CAPTURED, ONLY WAS IN ONE EPISODE, and NEVER APPEARED OUTSIDE OF JAPAN!!! --Theryguy512 21:44, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

Belonged to a main characters (2 in this case), that automatically makes it notable. I'm Missingno. Master. See my new and improved user page, and comment on it! 23:31, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
Well we don't have a page for Ash's Rapidash, Hoothoot, Mantyke, Spoink, Seaking, Hitmonlee, Raichu, Arbok, Meowth, or Weezing, now do we??? Those all belong to Ash for a short period of time, just like how this Porygon belong to Team Rocket. If they don't have pages, then this shouldn't have a page either. --Theryguy512 23:36, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
Everything you just listed except Seaking was rented. And as for Seaking, there USED to be a page, but some idiots thought that, Misty's Seaking, and James's Hoppip weren't notable and they got redirected to their respective trainer's page. And whatever protection's been set on the pages has yet to expire, so it can't be reverted unless some sysop realizes that the idiots were wrong. I'm Missingno. Master. Yes, but this wasn't even technically owned!!! It is Dr. Akihabara's Porygon; Team Rocket just stole it. --Theryguy512 01:55, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
Isn't actually notable. J-J-M 14:18, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
I say we delete this article. Otherwise we would have to make a page for every Pokémon that the Rocket trio stole (and therefore, owned for a short time period). Pokéman 04:40, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
This is notable because it is in a very notable banned episode. I say keep it. --Blake 03:07, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
Agreed. It had major impact on the episode's plot. Missingno. Master says: The Celebi Glitch is real!(talk page) 12:05, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

Page Name

Wouldn't this page be better off being named 'Team Rocket's Porygon' rather than 'Porygon (Team Rocket)'. Even though it was temporary, other Pokémon that have belonged to them for less than an episode (such as Jessie's Shellder and James' Aggron) are still named by the normal template. Also, as the Japanese is translated as 'Rocket Gang's Porygon' wouldn't it be more consistant if the page was renamed? Watchermark 14:06, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

You're right, it should be moved to "Team Rocket's Porygon". CuboneKing 22:01, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
article is probably getting merged with List of Pokémon temporarily owned by Team Rocket, so it doesnt matter. -- MAGNEDETH 22:08, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
Return to "Porygon (Team Rocket)" page.
