Split

This page needs to be split. It's slow to load, it takes forever to scroll down the page, and the editor lags so hard when I'm adding a new section to the page. Splitting up the occurrences by year would make the most sense, but there's two questions I have about how to do that:

  1. The event only ran twice in 2021. Should 2021 get its own subpage, or can it be combined with 2022?
  2. Should all the battles/shop exchanges be put on subpages, or should we keep some on the main page? If we keep some on the main page, would it just be the most recent occurrence, or all the occurrences from the current year?

I'd love to hear your thoughts! Storm Aurora (talk) 23:59, 25 March 2024 (UTC)

For 1), I think giving 2021 its own subpage makes sense. Wild Area News/2019 might be a comparable example, where it has far fewer entries than a full year, but can still justify its own page.
For 2), I think we can try subpaging all years except the current year, and see if the post-split page loads at a good speed. If it's still slow, then we could try moving all but the most recent month into subpages. --Boblers (talk) 04:02, 26 March 2024 (UTC)
I support splitting of the article, and also like Boblers's idea about having only the most recent month on the main page. → PikaTepig999 22:35, 26 March 2024 (UTC)
Made examples in my userspace of what 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 subpages would look like. The 2024 subpage isn't necessarily gonna be mainspaced; it's mainly there to demo the concept of moving the sync pair upgrades table to the subpages. Any thoughts on that? After giving it more thought, I think I'm gonna keep the sync pair upgrades table on the main page, but still have the split table on each year's page. Either format could be better for certain situations, and I don't think there's any harm in having them both. Storm Aurora (talk) 06:42, 5 April 2024 (UTC)
