"Orasion"

The Wonder Card for the ALAMOS Darkrai misspells the word like this, but I already added that to the Event Pokémon 2008 page. So should I add it here? LordArceus 03:50, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

Already mentioned under "Other uses". --Shiningpikablu252 04:45, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
The code also happens to be case-sensitive. Is that worth mentioning? Sunila-chan 00:18, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
Passwords are normally case-sensitive, so no. In any case, it is given in quotation marks in the article, implying that this is the absolutely correct way of doing it. —darklordtrom 01:00, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

song of Arceus

anyone notice when you use the Azure Flute it sounds like Oración, it should be noted UltamateCharizard 20:06, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

sorry turned out I was wrong UltamateCharizard 23:59, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
This is why you don't add your opinions to a page. -Sketch 01:13, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
that was NOT an opinion it was a MISTAKE, GET IT! UltamateCharizard
It was your opinion that they sounded similar. Some people may not think so, making that your opinion. -Sketch 12:50, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
NO, IT TURNED OUT THAT WHO EVER MADE THAT VIDEO ON YOUTUBE PUT ORACIÓN AS BACKROUND MUSIC DURING THE SCENE WERE THE PLAYER BLEW INTO THE AZURE FLUTE, WHEN I LOOK BACK NOW I SEE NO SIMILARITYS BETWEEN THE TWO, GET IT! UltamateCharizard 01:18, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
Ah, now, you see, here's the thing. You never said that it was from a video. No need for caps lock. -Sketch 13:54, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
sorry----UltamateCharizard 22:53, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

Incorrect translation?

I'm not so sure if that statement that Oración means "prayer" was incorrect. I'm not an expert on Spanish, but as far as I know Spanish "Orador" would mean "prayer" in the sense of "a person who prays". But the word "prayer" has two meanings. The other meaning is "the words of praying", and that's probably what Alice meant. And it's probably "Oración" in Spanish. --Maxim 18:33, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

"Oración" means prayer, as in the noun, a prayer that someone says. It does NOT mean a person who prays. "Orar" is the verb, the act of praying. "Orador" is a speaker, like a public speaker or a preacher. I don't know why it says what it says in the trivia, cause I'm about 99% sure it's wrong..--Snowrunt 19:06, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
Yes. That's exactly what I meant. The existence of this bogus trivia bit is probably caused by someone's faith in online translation devices... --Maxim 19:10, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
In all honesty, I didn't know this word by heart. I used a translator too, but a very good one (don't hurt me!). But using my knowledge of Spanish, orador couldn't mean prayer, because a -dor ending usually refers to an occupation. And.. yeah, I have no idea why that trivia was there. It means prayer. >>; --Snowrunt 19:17, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
On Wiktionary Snowrunt is right, it does mean prayer in Spanish and Galician. --StaraptorEmpoleon (Eagle) 05:07, 28 July 2010 (UTC)

About Orasion

I just got a crazy idea. Maybe it IS supposed to be spelt "Orasion", as both Wonder Card and Official Website spell it. I know that such spelling would normally be incorrect but don't forget that the dubbers (and Japaneses too) often tend to misspell something to make a pun (see Forme). No one said that the name of the song has to be spelt the same as the spanish word for prayer. --Maxim 19:21, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

"Secret page"

The link to the secret page on Pokémon.com doesn't work anymore. I tried going on the website and typing "orasion", "oracion" and "Oración" in the search bar, but the "secret page" seems to have been deleted. Should we remove the "Other uses" paragraph ?

Return to "Oración" page.
