On Route 220, I battled a Swimmer who used Buizel, Medicham, and Seaking. Possibly supposed to be Lizabeth? (name doesn't match, but the translation team is known to overlook such easter eggs...) I'm Missingno. Master. See my new and improved user page, and comment on it! 02:33, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

Until you know for sure, it's speculation. -Sketch 02:34, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
True, but how many other NPCs send out a Medicham in the middle of the ocean? The Medicham and Buizel are really what got my attention. Did she have a Seaking, though? I forget. I'm Missingno. Master. See my new and improved user page, and comment on it! 02:37, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
He has a point there. There aren't many trainers in the middle of the ocean that have a non-Water-type Pokémon. --ケンジガール 02:41, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
Can anyone find out what the trainer's Japanese name is? If it's Hiromi, it's for sure. She seemed to be in the same area as Butler, Diane, and Rebecca. --ケンジガール 02:46, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
I thought we did that before. Wasn't it on a page somewhere before? It was in a sentence that said "Easter Egg" if I remember correctly. MaverickNate 02:49, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
Pfff, wrong character. Sorry. Maverick<substyle="color:#00008B;">Nate 02:49, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

Sorry to revive an old topic, but I battled this trainer on my japanese Platinum some time ago and, yes, her name is Hiromi there. さやか talk~what I've done~? ♪ 15:48, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
How come I haven't noticed this for almost two years? I really don't see any proof for this cameo. This seems to be nothing more than game coincidence. It reminded me how everyone was like "ZOMG!!! GIDEON IN HGSS!!!!!!!11111" upon seeing a trainer named Sumio in the data. Don't jump to conclusions based on just the names. Also, isn't Bulbapedia supposed to deny everything (I mean, it's really funny how the admins here deny even the backmasking in Ledyba episode [which is so clear and obvious], yet they accept such a far-fetched things as this supposed "cameo")? --Maxim 13:19, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
If this is too speculative then so is Felix, Dana, and Jamie. In fact, this seems more viable then Jamie by far. All swimmers have Water-only Pokémon but Katelyn happens to have a Medicham and her Japanese name is Hiromi. I'm sorry. But there is no way that is a coincidence. --ケンジガール 13:33, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
Not really, Butler and Dyan aren't the kind of names that in-game trainers would get in Japanese version (outside of Battle Tower/Frontier, where trainers get really weird names) and the magician talk makes it obvious that they're them. Hitomi and Hiromi are average Japanese names, so it's not abnormal for normal trainers to have them. But Hitomi being Rebecca is obvious because of her dialogue and Pokemon team. As for Hiromi, we don't know her dialogue, which is the crucial value. Her team may be a misleading thing. She has a Medicham. Big whoop. In Viridian Forest in HGSS there's a Bug Catcher who has a Pikachu. I'm not saying that this ISN'T a cameo, there's a high chance that it is. But I want to see the dialogue first, before jumping to conclusions. --Maxim 13:43, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
Pikachu are found in Viridian Forest, at some point anyway. Medicham... no where near that route. And come on... All of her Pokémon are ones that her family used. Probably the only reason she didn't have Gorebyss is because she's encountered before the National Dex. But if it makes you feel better, go find the dialogue. I will hide it until then. --ケンジガール 13:50, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
  • Dialogue before battle: "I may not look like it now, but I'm a star. I'm always with my Pokemon."
  • After battle: "If it were an underwater Pokemon show, I would have shined."

I let you judge. --Maxim 14:17, 21 January 2011 (UTC)

I see it being a reference to her family's water show, and isn't generic Swimmer♀ dialog IMO.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 14:49, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
