This Page is Full of Misinformation

  • The foe is not forced to use the corresponding move.
  • Neither user is locked into using the move.
  • The user does not need to be hit in order to receive a power boost. The user does, however, need to attack after the user of the other move, and in the same turn.

I'm changing it. — Unknowen900 13:10, 22 November 2010 (UTC)

Wait, hold on. Where's your evidence that this is wrong? EVERY source I've seen affirms that Cross Flame forces the foe to use Cross Thunder, if possible. Are you getting your information directly from the game, or from another (possibly incorrect) source? --AndyPKMN (talk) 16:28, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
Directly from in-game usage of the move by myself. In the battle against N, he seemingly always uses Cross Thunder/Cross Flame on the first turn, as I generally also do for the sake of being epic. His is higher level than you catch yours, and as the battle with him is directly after (and the game, if you had an open slot, moves your Reshiram/Zekrom to the first slot), his always moves first. If I choose not to use mine, I am not forced to do so. Whether or not I use mine, neither of get locked into using the move. For example, the first time I fought him I opened with Cross Flame (wanted to see what it looked like, which worked out well as he used Cross Thunder in the same turn before me), and then follow this up with Dragon Claw, which didn't do much as he had used Reflect. I re-battled him several times, as I was forcing myself to do those three battles in a row, restarting if I failed one, and the first two errors I noted were obvious through this repeated testing. The third error I have seen a series of screenshots of, depicting a double battle against two low level wild Pokémon using Cross Flame and Cross Thunder, with Cross Flame using the boosted animation (the move looks more powerful when boosted by Cross Thunder). — Unknowen900 05:42, 24 November 2010 (UTC)

M14

At least in Pokémon The Movie: Black—Victini and Reshiram, Fusion Bolt appears to be in both states. When it was used against the pillars, explosion was small, but when it was used after Reshiram being hit by Fusion Bolt, explosion was HUGE. Marked +-+-+ 12:12, 27 May 2012 (UTC)

BW118

Didn't the Reshiram controlled by Team Plasma use Fusion Flare for the first time in a flashback in BW118, not in BW122, as stated in this article? I'm not sure, but if so, it should be changed. BlazingFist ☼ 17:25, 20 April 2013 (UTC)

Critical hit

It doesn't change animation, at least not in the original pair of games. - unsigned comment from Eridanus (talkcontribs)
