Sack

Sack-like tail? That's an actual *sack*. - unsigned comment from Blackjack Gabbiani (talkcontribs)

> Uh, no that's the end of it's tail curled up. Check it's PokeDex articles: "DELIBIRD carries its food bundled up in its tail.". It's just a long, feathery tail that it carries stuff in by holding the end of it over it's shoulder.

- Zeta - unsigned comment from Zeta (talkcontribs)

What dex is that from? Because on the show it was carrying a bag seperately, and that's also the way it shows up in Stadium. - unsigned comment from Blackjack Gabbiani (talkcontribs)

That's it's entry in both Ruby and Sapphire. This is the complete entry:

"DELIBIRD carries its food bundled up in its tail. There once was a famous explorer who managed to reach the peak of Mt. Everest thanks to one of these POKéMON sharing its food."

- Zeta - unsigned comment from Zeta (talkcontribs)

And if Delibird's "sack" is it's tail, why is it incapable of learning Iron Tail?--Pokencyclopedia 18:14, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

I take back what I said after seeing "Delibird's Dilema" yesterday, I grudgingly accept the fact that Delibird's sack is it's tail. The "sack" stayed attached to Delibird's hindquaters when he wasn't holding on to it (even when Ash's Noctowl grabbed the tail-sack).--Pokencyclopedia 00:28, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

Man, I wish Delibird didn't have crap stats. It's one of my favorites :( - superdoogles 03:00, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

Santa

Is "myths of Santa Claus" appropriate? --Ainohuyuah 12:37, 1 Apr 2005 (UTC)

>Don't tell me you're worried that Delibird's page will crush someone's belief in Santa Clause *rolls eyes*

- Zeta - unsigned comment from Zeta (talkcontribs)

Yes because I'm concerned for the wider demographic that will be using this site. The article does not need to confirm the existence of Santa Claus it only needs to not mention it is a myth.--Ainohuyuah 22:58, 1 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Oh come on... Next you'll be wanting Wikipedia to add a spoiler notice on their article... - Ferret 23:04, 1 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I seriously doubt that anyone under the age of ten will be using this website. If kids still believe in Santa Claus at that age, it's the parents' problem, not ours. -Argy 03:09, 2 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Is it just me, or did Delibird make a shadowy appearance in Holiday Hi-Jynx? During the special, there was a shadow of something that looked like Delibird following the group in the distance. It only makes a single appearance, but when I saw the special a second time after playing Silver, I was almost certain it was Delibird. Of course, that was years ago, and I could have been mistaken, wanting Delibird to show up in the Christmas episode; it may have been Santa or something else, or I could just be remembering it wrong. Has anyone else seen that shadowy thing on the snowy hill in the episode? I don't have a copy of the special, so I can't check. ~Kumori Satosuke 15:45:35, 26 October 2007

Why do we need to mention Santa that isn't real? We just need to mention that Delibird is based on him. Nothing else.--Starlight the ampharos 19:23, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Pokémon Colosseum Data

I'm just wondering, is there a reason as to why there is no Colosseum purified moveset on this page (eg, Makuhita for example)

If someone could help me put one in, I'd be very grateful... I've got an untouched, purified Delibird sitting around Jake30502 19:35, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

...wait...am I the only one who can't edit this?--でんのう Zえんし 18:36, 15 August 2010 (UTC)
Its protection setting is set as autoconfirmed, which is someone who has had their account for a while and made some edits, so after a while, you should be able to edit it. --Psyライダー 18:48, 15 August 2010 (UTC)
OK, thanks.--でんのう Zえんし 18:55, 15 August 2010 (UTC)

The tail (again)

So the bottom of the sack is where it attaches to its body, and the opening is the tip of the tail, right? So the poor thing has to hold it at all times or else it all falls out. --IWannaBeTheVeryBest 21:22, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

Snowflake face?

Should it be noted in the Physiology and/or Origin sections that its facial feathers look like a snowflake design? --IWannaBeTheVeryBest 21:22, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

#225

So, something I found odd, is that Delibird is right smack in the middle of Remoraid, Octillery, and Mantine, when it has nothing to do with those three Pokémon that are connected to each other. But its National Dex number is 225 - close to 12/25, the day Christmas is usually celebrated (Japan places the month before the day in its date format.) I believe that this could be intentional numbering, given its design similarities to Santa Claus. But I'm not sure how to incorporate it into the article, if at all. Destiny Bond?

So, I was looking through various egg move chains out of curiosity, and I realized that Destiny Bond is described as being much more difficult to obtain than it actually is, to my knowledge. It is supposedly only possible to obtain through breeding with the unique Wild Tera Houndoom in Alfornada Cavern, but since Delibird is Water 1, shouldn't it be possible to start with Destiny Bond on a Quilfish, transfer it to an Inkay via Water 2, and then transfer it to Delibird through Inkay's Water 1? And from there, by extension, shouldn't any Pokemon in the Field group be capable of obtaining Destiny Bond from Delibird? Crystallineaurora (talk) 04:15, 31 March 2024 (UTC)
