Kumasyun v. Kumashun
Isn't the normal romanization for しゅん 'shun' rather than 'syun'? Why is the romanized Japanese name of this Pokémon Kumasyun? --frozenpandaman 23:25, 25 November 2010 (UTC)

Name origin
I think it's also possible that its Japanese name is derived from xiong — Chinese for bear which is pronounced similar to syun. I will add it if no one objects. Kikugi (talk) 12:01, 3 April 2023 (UTC)
