Proposition to add "Considered to be a counterpart of Armarouge" and vice/versa

It could perhaps wait until the game's release, given how little we know, but already it doesn't seem hard to see the Pinsir/Heracross, Tauros/Miltank, Seviper/Zangoose, Solrock/Lunatone etc parallels here. "Mrawr." - Unusual Venusaur (talk) 11:55, 8 September 2022 (UTC)

Yeah I'd say wait until the game comes out just to be sure they're not related through a pre-evolved form or anything like that. Plus we'll have more evidence to connect them when the games are out like potentially similar base stats totals and what not. Landfish7 12:13, 8 September 2022 (UTC)

Technically not trade?

On "Game locations" for Scarlet, Ceruledge is described as attainable only via trade. This is like, functionally correct but technically iffy, since Charcadet can evolve into Ceruledge just fine in Scarlet; it's the Malicious Armor that needs to be traded over. So I don't know if this necessarily needs changing, but I think it's worth discussing/stating somewhere on the page so someone knows they can use their own Charcadet. --GopyXP (talk) 15:32, 1 December 2022 (UTC)

Could Hitoshi Ariga have been part of the design for Ceruledge and Armarouge?

Just wondering cuz technically a lot of people have already theorized this, but I don't think it has been fully confirmed yet so I want to know what you guys think

Tbh, I'm actually a pretty huge Mega Man fan alongside Pokemon, and if there's something that I thought almost instantly about these designs is how Mega Man-ish they look, with Ceruledge's pose even looking very similar to the one Sage Harpuia (a character from the Mega Man Zero series) has in this specific art, along with Armarouge just straight up sporting a arm cannon and even firing it in one of it's animations, which just makes me wonder whether or not Ariga did indeed had a hand here since he's actually very well known for being a huge fan of the series in general, even making stuff like the Mega Man Megamix/Gigamix manga series, so yeah, I just wanted to know since to me it seems fairly obvious, but since it isn't confirmed (at least AFAIK) it is definitely hard to tell at this point Ultima (talk) 01:23, 20 April 2023 (UTC)

Ariga has said he only designed five mons for SV, and he has listed all five of them. Also, when a fan asks if he designed Armarouge/Ceruledge, Ariga replied "No." Anzasquiddles (talk) 04:12, 20 April 2023 (UTC)

Ah, wasn't aware that someone already asked him on Twitter; though now that makes me even more curious on who could've actually done the design now, since Ariga was probably the most obvious choice in this case, but if it isn't him then... who knows lol Ultima (talk) 11:22, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
