Can I just say the Blue (Japan) entry in Game locations was an excellent touch on this year's April Fool? With that convoluted acquisition method, there is no way it would get through the glitchy chaos that was Generation I without at least one entry messing it up somehow. Very nicely done. Archival
IMO, this page should not exist in the mainspace. The previous April Fools' Day Bulbapedia page we created, Appendix:Game Boy, was in the Appendix namespace, which I think would be a better namespace for this page. However, additionally, that page was deleted in 2019. I think we should be handling the two consistently: Either they should both be deleted, or both exist in a non-mainspace namespace as archives. --SnorlaxMonster 04:03, 10 March 2024 (UTC)
- Having it as a subpage of April Fools' Day 2022 makes it clear that the page is a joke from that day. Having it as a random page in the Appendix namespace would remove that context. Also, the page got news coverage at the time, and was recently featured again in What's Growing On, so I would be opposed to deleting it (although I did help write it, so I am biased!). - bthrussellUK (talk) 08:25, 10 March 2024 (UTC)
- My issue with it being in the mainspace is that it isn't a mainspace page, it's an exact archive of a joke page. April Fools' Day 2022 is a page covering the various jokes performed by Pokémon fansites and official media in 2022; this page could make sense as a subpage of it if it actually covered a joke as a content page. But since the page itself is the joke, rather than being a page about the joke, it doesn't make sense in the mainspace.
- It was suggested that perhaps we could have this page exist in the Bulbapedia namespace, potentially as a subpage of something like "Bulbapedia:April Fools' Day". I think either than or the Appendix namespace would make sense. --SnorlaxMonster 11:35, 10 March 2024 (UTC)
