About Aaron's appearance in the anime

I know the dreaded Austrailian magazine has been accurate somehow, but can we still assume that it's still a possibility? It's still not officially confirmed, despite what most want to think. --Ricco 00:24, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

The magazine doesn't say "it is a possibility". The magazine says "it will happen". As long as we say it is according to the magazine - which can't be doubted at this point anyway - we should state it as it is. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 13:51, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
The way it's worded, it sounds like it's purely definite. I know the magazine has been right at this point, but what if this episode never happens? Then what? You know as well as I do that it's just as likely for it to not appear than it is to happen.
All I'm saying is that I don't want people to think we're preaching a flawed scan as pure fact. I take these episodes with a grain of salt and I hope most of you do that as well. It's more or less the wording than the thought, really. =/ --Ricco 19:32, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
does any one have a pic of the scan? i seen one once and i cant remember where =/--Davidaipom 14:04, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
Wow, has that Australian magazine been right AGAIN? --Hey1031 18:53, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
Yup. Still, just because it's been right and right again, doesn't make it a reputable source. It's kind of silly, but if it says anything controversial (like the appearances of Wallace and Aaron in the Anime) again, we still can't trust it officially until it's confirmed. How they get their information is beyond me. Satosuke 00:14, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
Clearly, they have a source in Japan. I don't see why you're still debating this. Every point on that article has now been confirmed now. End of story. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 00:21, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
I wasn't still debating it, I was stating that even though they have source in Japan ahead of everyone else, their information still can't be added if it reveals something again ahead of time until it's confirmed. They may have been right about the Wallace Cup, but they made a mistake about the placing of the Aaron episode (so actually, not every point of the article was confirmed). The magazine therefore cannot be taking as an only source confirmation of future events - it needs a second source to prove it, when it reveals information in the future. Aaron's attacks

I'm playing Platinum and fighting against Aaron's (Second battle, level 67) Heracross and it used Megahorn against me. Several times. I read somewhere else that some trainers have a randomized 4th move. Perhaps the Elite Four fall under this as well. It also used Night Slash, Close Combat and Stone Edge. glebs 20:12, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

Look-alike

I just realized that Aaron looks a lot like Wally... Has any one else noticed this?- unsigned comment from ILOVETOGETIC (talkcontribs)

Former Bug Catcher and Gym Leader

Unova TV's variety show sometimes tells a tale involving a former Bug Catcher and Gym Leader in Sinnoh that quit as a Gym Leader in order to become an Elite Four. Aaron? --Johans (talk) 03:26, 19 November 2012 (UTC)

Platinum templates

I've been thinking: since the Elite Four teams in Platinum differ from each other only by the levels and the prize money, couldn't those templates be combined, with the differing prize money and levels seperated from each other with {{tt}}? What do you think? The same thing is used in the Unova Gym Leaders/Elite Four/Champion, too, so why not here as well? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 08:46, 24 October 2013 (UTC)

Well? Is this an OK idea? At least I think it would work. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 17:20, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
The difference between adding Platinum into the same template as Diamond and Pearl and what's on the Unova pages is that on the Unova pages it's used for differences between the same games because of the modes. Tooltips really should be used sparingly, and I don't see much point in combining them together that way. Especially since some of the E4 (Flint for example) have different teams, so it's not something that could be done on all of the E4 pages. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 17:31, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
Oh wait, I'm an idiot. I see what you mean. I think it would be fine to be honest. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 17:34, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
Thanks a lot for your approval! I think I'll get to it right away. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 17:44, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
I wasn't really giving approval. I have no clue how other staff feels about it being done. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 17:45, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
Oh... Well, I already did it. Let's see if it's okay. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 18:27, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
Um, I kind of randomly came across this suggestion, but in any case, here's my input... I like how the new formatting condenses the page adequately instead of needlessly repeating the template on the same page if only the numbers for Levels and Prize Money differ (and I imagine that multiple instances of a template on one page takes up more loading time/strain compared to the usage of the Tooltips?). Although admittedly the "tooltip combination" formatting thing can't be used on all pages, particular where the Pokémon teams differ (like the numerous Pokémon Emerald Version Gym Leader rematch teams), it seems useful for an article such as this one. Fenyx4 (talk) 20:15, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
Whilst you should've waited for more staff input, I won't revert you. I agree that repeating the same teams that is only different in levels and prize money is pointless. So I also approve of combining the platinum templates together.--ForceFire 02:30, 31 January 2014 (UTC)

not really the same names...

Two members of the Sinnoh Elite Four, Aaron and Lucian, share their names with the main characters of Konami's Lunar Knights for the DS.

Well, Lunar Knight's Aaron is called "Django" in the japanese version, not Ryou, and their Lucian is called "Sabata", not "Goyō". --Kaiko Mikkusu (talk) 17:06, 30 January 2014 (UTC)

Aaron's Team in Platinum

I made some research about Aaron's Pokémon in Platinum, and here are there Dex Number, Species and Level, Genre, Ability, Nature, Characteristic, Food like, Moves (in the correct order from the game) and their stats (HP/Atk/Def/Sp.Atk/Sp.Def/Speed). These stats are only right for the rematches. The Pokémon are also in the right order. If useful, I will do the same for Bertha, Flint, Lucian and Cynthia (I can do it anytime, I have already everything to study their stats and moves right now). Watch it in Edit mode to see things more clearly but please do not modify anything.

Voice actors

The voice actor for this character seems to have been already added, but the page still is tagged under the "missing voice actors" category and I can't seem to be able to remove it. Help! :P MannedTooth (Talk) 16:36, 7 April 2016 (UTC)

Nevermind, just realized that this is because of the Pokémon, my bad! MannedTooth (Talk) 16:37, 7 April 2016 (UTC)

Page move

I'd like to propose that this page be moved to just Aaron, without the disambiguation tag. The current disambiguation page lists three other possible references for Aaron: Sir Aaron, a character who appeared in a single Pokémon movie; Aaron (TCG GB), a character who appeared in the TCG spin-off games for the Game Boy Color; and Aron (Pokémon), a Pokémon with a similarly spelled name. I think that the character from the core series games is the most likely search target, so it'd be more convenient for users searching for Aaron to be brought directly to this page, with the current disambiguation page moved to Aaron (disambiguation). Support. Yes, using just "Aaron" would work. I think this is pretty similar to how we have the Drake article in addition to Drake (Orange League) for the unrelated anime character. Drake is the most likely search target, much like Aaron. It's good that we have an article simply named "Drake" instead of "Drake (Elite Four)". --Daniel Carrero (talk) 20:43, 19 November 2023 (UTC)
Against: Frozen Fennec
For Drake as an example, his article is fine as the name Drake is only shared with one other character. For Aaron, there is 3 characters with that name. For the same reason, I believe Rika should be moved to Rika (Elite Four) as there are 4 characters and 2 actual people who have the name Rika for their article names. Frozen Fennec 23:11, 19 November 2023 (UTC)
I agree. I think Aaron of the Elite Four has a sufficiently strong claim to the primary article title. --SnorlaxMonster 09:22, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
I agree with the proposed move. I think most people will want this character when searching Aaron, and the amount of other minor Aarons should be largely irrelevant. Nescientist (talk) 22:27, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
Sure. I personally wouldn't mind the title being simplified at all. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 22:44, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
