Spring Cave (Japanese: げんせんのどうくつ Source Cave) is a dungeon in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky. It is exclusive to the third Special Episode, Today's "Oh My Gosh".

There is a relay point between the Lower Spring Cave and the Spring Cave Depths. Spring Cave, Upper Spring Cave, Lower Spring Cave, and Spring Cave Depths have 4 floors each.

The music for the area includes Magma Cavern and Magma Cavern Pit from the first Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games as well as a remix of Magma Cavern Pit in the Spring Cave Depths.

Spring Cave is southwest to the Hot Spring.

Gameplay

As this is a Special Episode dungeon, the player cannot recruit Pokémon inside and cannot be rescued if knocked out.

This dungeon uses two floor layouts:

  • Medium-sized on floor 1 of Spring Cave with 3-8 rooms and floor 4 of Upper Spring Cave with 3-9 rooms
  • Large-sized, with following amount of rooms:
    • 3-7 on floor 4 on Spring Cave Depths
    • 3-8 on floor 2 of Spring Cave Depths
    • 3-9 on floor 2 of Spring Cave and floor 3 of Spring Cave Depths
    • 3-10 on floor 3 of both Spring Cave and Upper Spring Cave, and floor 1 of both Lower Spring Cave and Spring Cave Depths
    • 3-11 on floor 4 of both Spring Cave and Lower Spring Cave, and floor 2 of Upper Spring Cave
    • 3-12 on floor 1 of Upper Spring Cave and floor 3 of Lower Spring Cave
    • 3-14 on floor 2 of Lower Spring Cave

There's 4-7 items on first three floors of Spring Cave and 3-6 on later floors. There's also 2-5 items buried in the walls. There's 2-3 starting enemies on first three floors of Spring Cave and 2-4 on later floors.

The IQ Booster does not activate in this dungeon. The turn limit is 1000. There is heavy darkness in the entire dungeon. There is water in Spring Cave, as well as floors 2 and 4 of Upper Spring Cave and floor 1 of Spring Cave Depths. The enemies in this dungeon have 26IQ.
