In Japan, it was released as a special card by {{wp|All Nippon Airways|All Nippon Airlines}} throughout June and July in 1999 with artwork by [[Toshinao Aoki]]. Passengers flying in conjunction with the "Pokémon Getaways" campaign could redeem their boarding passes for the 2 card set including Articuno and {{TCG ID|ANA promo|Flying Pikachu|99}}. The English version was given away in the first few weeks of the theatrical release of [[The Power of One|Pokémon The Movie 2000]] with then English-exclusive artwork by Naoyo Kimura.<br>
