:::Anyway, here's a suggestion: Add the periods after these "sentences" if you want, but there shouldn't be an edit just to add periods for the captions, in a similar fashion to spaces to "make editing easier". Just add them as you go along doing more effective contributions to the articles. As I've said, it all basically ties to personal preference.
