Misty: Difference between revisions

*Recently, former director and storyboard artist of the [[Pokémon anime]], Masamitsu Hidaka, stated in [http://www.pokebeach.com/news/0708/interview-with-masamitsu-hidaka-at-anime-expo an interview] that Misty will not return as a main character in future seasons, but she will continue to make cameo appearances from time to time like she has in the past. His words caused some controversy among fans. However, this was only stated by Hidaka and not by other staff members.

**Also, in this same interview, Masamitsu Hidaka admitted that the reason they replaced Misty (and why they switch around the girls) is solely for "Eye candy". These words started a huge controversy among the fanbase, some of them being deeply angered at this apparant "sexist remark" towards both genders. How, if anything, it will affect Misty or any of the other female protagonists in regards to returns remains to be seen. It should be noted, however that this was only stated by Hidaka and not by any other staff members.
