Onix and Butterfree are self explanatory, and Puka is a possible reference to the surfing Pikachu. That, along with having major roles in the episodes they appeared in. As for why it's only those that appeared in the original series that get articles, that's because the anime never does these things anymore. They've never had a Pokemon show up that was uniquely different to its own species. The Pokemon you've listed aren't that different from any other of their species.
