Double Colorless Energy (Base Set 96): Difference between revisions

Double Colorless Energy was first included in the {{TCG|Base Set}} with artwork by [[Keiji Kinebuchi]], first released in the Japanese {{TCG|Expansion Pack}}. It was first reprinted in the {{TCG|Nivi City Gym}} and {{TCG|Hanada City Gym}} decks released alongside the Japanese {{TCG|Leaders' Stadium}} set, and again in the {{TCG|Yamabuki City Gym}} and {{TCG|Guren Town Gym}} theme decks for {{TCG|Challenge from the Darkness}}, although it wasn't found in either of those booster packs. Its first reprint outside of Japan was in {{TCG|Base Set 2}}. The card was re-released in the {{TCG|HeartGold & SoulSilver}} expansion with new artwork by [[Kent Kanetsuna]] and a reworded effect, first released in the Japanese {{TCG|HeartGold Collection}}. It was later reprinted in the {{TCG|Next Destinies}} expansion with new artwork by [[5ban Graphics]]. This print was then included in the Japanese {{TCG|Reshiram-EX Battle Strength Deck|Reshiram-EX}} and {{TCG|Zekrom-EX Battle Strength Deck}}s, the {{TCG|Master Deck Build Box EX}}, the {{TCG|Blastoise + Kyurem-EX Combo Deck}}, and the {{TCG|Mewtwo vs Genesect Deck Kit}}. It was later reprinted again in the {{TCG|Legendary Treasures}} expansion.

This card was reprinted in the {{TCG|XY}} expansion with new artwork by [[5ban Graphics]], first released in the Japanese {{TCG|Collection Y}}. This print was reprinted in the Japanese {{TCG|M Charizard-EX Mega Battle Deck}}. It was reprinted again in the {{TCG|Phantom Forces}} expansion, first released in the Japanese {{TCG|Hyper Metal Chain Deck}}. It was later included in the Japanese {{TCG|Super Legend Set: Xerneas-EX & Yveltal-EX}}, the {{TCG|Emboar-EX vs Togekiss-EX Deck Kit}}, the {{TCG|M Master Deck Build Box Power Style}}, and the {{TCG|M Master Deck Build Box Speed Style}}. It was also included in the special English {{TCG|Generations}} expansion and the Japanese {{TCG|BREAK Starter Pack}}, both of which commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise. A differently colored version of the XY print was included in the {{TCG|Fates Collide}} expansion, first released in the Japanese {{TCG|M Audino-EX Mega Battle Deck}}. The XY print was reprinted again in the Japanese {{TCG|Premium Champion Pack}} as a Mirror Reverse Holofoil. It was reprinted as a {{TCG|retro card}} in the {{TCG|Evolutions}} expansion, first released in the Japanese {{TCG|Expansion Pack 20th Anniversary}} subset, featuring the same artwork as the original print, an updated effect, and an updated card template reminiscent of the Original Series layout. Reverse Holofoil versions of this print were later given to players competing in International Championships held over the course of the 2016-2017 season. Four primary versions of this print were distributed, with stamps reflecting the event in which they were awarded. These included the Europe International Championships, held at the ExCeL London convention center in London, UK, on December 9–11, 2016; the Oceania International Championships, held at the Melbourne Park Function Centre in Melbourne, Australia, on March 10–12, 2017; the Latin America International Championships, held at the WTC Events Center in São Paulo, Brazil, on April 21–23, 2017; and the North America International Championships, held at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA, on June 30–July 2, 2017. Each of these prints also have gold foil stamped "Staff" versions given to those overseeing the events, as well as gold foil stamped "Top 8" and "Champion" versions given to competitors.

Double Colorless Energy was reprinted in Holofoil with its {{TCG|Base Set}} artwork in the {{TCG|Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic}}. This reprint lacks a regulation mark and is thus not legal for tournament play.
