Lugia definitely isn’t the master of the birds in the games, for example, and Ho‐oh is not the master of the beasts in the anime (AFAIK; bear in mind that I haven’t watched the show in years). The current legendary trio page would benefit from a section explaining the connections between the trios and other Pokémon, and it would not require the use of the name "Trio Master" which is fanon.
