It began serialization in November 2016, and ended in November 2019.

The chapter follows the adventures of {{adv|Sun}}, a courier that aims to gather 100 million yen for a classified purpose, and {{adv|Moon}}, a pharmacist that traveled to [[Alola]] to deliver a {{adv|Rotom Pokédex|Rotom}} to [[Professor Kukui]]. When the [[Guardian deities|Tapu]] start to get angry for some reason, the [[island kahuna]]s choose to resurrect the old tradition of the [[island challenge]] in the hopes of appeasing them, with Sun getting chosen to carry out this task. Meanwhile, the threat of an [[Ultra Beast]] invasion looms over the region due to the actions [[Aether Foundation]] President [[Lusamine]] and [[Team Skull]] Boss [[Guzma]]. Branch Chief [[Faba]] is determined to use this opportunity to take over the Aether Foundation and destroy Lusamine's family to enact a twisted revenge on her for not accepting his lustful feelings towards her.

As with the two chapters before it, the ''Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon'' chapter is being collected separately into mini-volumes. The [[Pokémon Adventures Sun & Moon volume 1|first volume]] was released on June 23, 2017, with the final volume released on December 27, 2019.

An English translation of the ''Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon'' chapter was released by [[VIZ Media]] under the title '''Pokémon Sun & Moon''', which was released in their own mini-volumes as with the two chapters before it. The [[Pokémon Sun & Moon volume 1|first volume]] was released on May 8, 2018, with the final volume released on January 11, 2022.
