So let’s say that Lampent originated in Unova, Kalos or Alola, and it learned Flame Burst while there, whether Leader had caught it yet or not. Then, after it was caught by Leader, its species as a whole just magically lost the ability to learn Flame Burst once Ash crossed the border into Galar? That’s like saying that dexited Pokémon shouldn’t have been allowed to appear in the anime at the start of Journeys; does any of that really make sense to you?
