Nidorina (Pokémon): Difference between revisions

Nidorina appears to be based on a {{wp|porcupine}}, {{wp|rabbit}}, {{wp|mouse}}, or {{wp|hamster}}. Anatomically, however, they resemble {{wp|hyrax}}es – {{wp|rodent}}-like mammals that are genetically more closely related to much larger mammals like {{wp|elephant}}s and {{wp|manatee}}s featuring thickset bodies with tough hides (similar to Nidoqueen). It most likely also draws inspiration from the Moon Rabbit in Asian folklore, this might explain why it requires a Moon Stone to attain its final form.
