:::::::Yet, once again, he uses his design and dialogue from HGSS, not Let's Go. When both Steven and Iris reappeared, they were using their newest designs. I still fail to see how this can be considered a definite reference to Let's Go when the HGSS references are more obvious and objective. :::::::::I swear I'm failing to understand your point.
:::::::::Lance is introduced as the Indigo League Champion in the anime, Brock's words (Talkin' 'Bout an Evolution). No association of him with Johto was shown in the anime. In Journeys, he is said to represent Kanto by Ash and the narrator of his match against Leon.
:::::::::In the anime, Bruno is only related to Kanto's Elite Four, because the Johto League hadn't even been introduced at that point yet. You seem to be unaware that half of Kanto's Gym Leaders are anime-exclusive characters. Likewise, if any GSC characters appear, they will only be associated with Johto or they can create anime-exclusive characters to represent that status.
::::::::What I said, is that the anime created the context so that if at some point, they put the introduction of Trace or whatever, Ritchie as Champions of Kanto. The doors are open for that. The anime is using Lance's current status in Lets Go in the same way they changed the order of Hoenn's Champions with the remakes and Emerald. You are using dialog references at some points in the game to justify your point. I'm literally writing a page here on Bulbapedia where I'm looking at these points on a case by case basis. I even think it might happen again at some point if they do a remake of the Generation V games. Or maybe not, because of Alder's Japanese voice actor, but the chances of him reappearing as a Champion might happen.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 19:25, 5 May 2022 (UTC)
