: ActivePoké boxes are meant to represent the Pokémon which the trainers have on hand, have access to them immediately, or that travel with the them. When used in "on team" section, they have three raws and two lines to fit the "6 Pokémon" limit which applies to all trainers, except those with rotating teams. With the given sizes of the png's, speaking in the aspect of codes, they are supposed to be used for about 33,3% width. If we use Pokémon on teams with that width but at the same time some others with smaller scales, it looks abrupt and unfitting on the screen. Thus, it is only logical that the "ActivePoké" is used with 33,3% width for each individual, or it just looks... weird.
