:I've always considered it to be post-game, especially considering the entire plot thread (knot, I guess, since it's supposed to tie up loose ends in the original conflict) is locked behind the opening of the Fight Area anyways. Instead of defining the West Sinnoh and East Sinnoh trees as "sharp and pointed" and generally rounded, couldn't we simply just say the western trees are coniferous and the eastern deciduous? The Fight Area trees are also very clearly an ambiguous variety of palm, too, on that note.
