In Gen II, the Hiker on this route appears to either retire or devolve one of his Pokemon. For the second rematch he has a Machamp (at an impossibly low level I might add), but later he has Machoke instead. This was apparently changed in the remakes to reflect the proper order of evolution. I've encountered like 20 Aipom in Soul Silver Headbutt trees, but I still haven't encountered a Heracross yet. I'm sure that it's here, because I've seen footage of it, and I do understand that this is absolutely possible, this is so unlikely to happen. In addition to this, Serebii doesn't have the precise percetages yet, just that Aipom, Spearow and Heracross can be encountered.
