Doctor Zed: Difference between revisions

Ten years prior to the events of the movie, Dr. Zed was a colleague of Doctors [[Chrom and Rin Molybden]] at the Biotope Company. He aspired to locate the Great Tree hidden somewhere within the [[Forest of Okoya]], hoping that it would lead him to decipher the secrets of the jungle's Healing Springs. He became aware that Chrom and Rin had in fact discovered the Great Tree's location some time earlier, but after realizing it was a sacred place to the troop of {{p|Zarude}} living there, decided to seek the secret of the Healing Springs in a more respectful manner to the Great Tree's residents. Enraged by this, Dr. Zed pursued the couple and forced them into a car accident, then stole the data on the Great Tree and left them behind to perish in the wreck. This act orphaned their infant son, who was later found by one of the Zarude and given the name {{OBP|Koko|M23}}.

In the present, Dr. Zed is still pursuing the secrets of the Great Tree for the Biotope Company, working alongside his assistant {{OBP|Karen|M23}}.

Dr. Zed portrays himself as a calm and reasonable scientist, but this is merely a persona to mask his true cruel, ambitious nature. He prioritizes the well-being of [[humans]] over [[Pokémon (species)|Pokémon]], and is willing to destroy natural environments without a care for the Pokémon such acts harm if it will benefit his goals. His ambition is so great that he even has little hesitation to eliminate people who stand in his way, not caring if his actions directly lead to their deaths as long as he gets what he desires.
