 SmashWiki was created from the merger of two separate wikis. The first wiki, also named SmashWiki, was founded on {{sbw|SmashBoards}} by Gideon; it was created in December 2005 (the earliest known edit being August 12, 2006) and it was officially launched on March 5, 2007.
