I'd like to sparkle one big discussion about genders of Pokemon in the anime. I've gather some data here [https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/User:Team_Rocket_Grunt#Confirmed_gender_in_the_anime]. I know this topic has been coming back regularly for 20 years and I'm not surprised to see a lot of inconsistencies and lack of sources on many pages. I think this can be resolved only by looking at it from a perspective of all these cases put together. My goal here is to establish precise policy for all of us to know how to approach every case. My suggestion for start would be:
#''Single gender species and genderless species are proven to be their gender by default''
##''Charater stating gender of a Pokemon is a definitive proof, this means use of words like: boy, girl, sister, brother, man, grandpa, queen, bride''
##''Successful or unsuccessful Attract and Cute Charm that is confirmed to hit the target are definitive proof of having opposite or the same gender as the user respectively''
###''Gender differences introduces in Generation V onwards are definitive proof, that applies to Unfezant, Frillish, Jellicet, Pyroar, Meowstic, and Indeedee for now''
###''Gender differences introduces in Generation IV are definitive proof only for Pokemon that have thier gender differrence confirmed to be applied in the anime, that applied only to Venusaur, Pikachu, Wobbuffet, Combee, Gible, Garchomp, Hippopotas and Snover for now and only if they made an appearance after premiere of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl games.''
###''Gender differences introduced in Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee of Eevee is applied if Eevee made an appearance after premiere of these games''
###''Gender can be confirmed through distinctive features typical for specific gender, this means fighting for a girl, wearing bow ties for males and wearing pink bows, wearing feminine jewellery or flowers, being drawn with bigger eyelashes, keeping arms close to chest or running in typical anime feminine fashion for females
''(point on the left override point to the right)''
:''What does not prove gender but still should be mentioned with source:''
#''Having confirmed gender by English dubbing''
#''Having confirmed gender in manga or games if the page contains information for many canons''
