:I somewhat regret I did that particular edit. First of all, those 30-ish percentages are a nightmare. Anyway, when trying to judge how credible 30% was for later generations (read: at all), I found [[Special:Diff/24736|the original edit]], as well as mostly reliable [https://web.archive.org/web/20171228041228/http://upcarchive.playker.info/0/upokecenter/content/pokemon-black-version-and-pokemon-white-version-abilities.html UPC] and [https://github.com/Zarel/Pokemon-Showdown/blob/master/data/abilities.js#L2938 Showdown] pointing towards this being a guess that was some percent off. My judgment was to neglect the [[:ja:Special:Diff/380856|only indication of a change]] that I could find, resulting in doing the edit; an edit that fixes an error, is sourced rather than unsourced, and quite likely did no harm. (I didn't edit Poison Point, Static, Flame Body, and Cute Charm, even though I know they're wrong at least for Generation III, because I don't have all that for those.) And so there's that edit I believe I shouldn't have done, but shouldn't undo either. | |||
:My guess is that it's quite likely there was a change before Generation IV, and that it's the only change that has happened. But bottom line is, I just don't know, anything could have happened, even multiple changes. I'm not even 100% sure it really is 30% in Gen V (99.9%, yes, but it's just pseudocode after all, there ''may'' potentially be a typo or even a mistake).
