Never make assumptions about events just because that's the way they typically work. For example, [https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/w/index.php?title=List_of_local_event_Pok%C3%A9mon_distributions_in_Generation_VII&diff=2907914&oldid=2897919 the Birthday Chansey] in Let's Go is not in a Cherish Ball and does not have a Birthday Ribbon, because those don't exist in Let's Go.
