Tate's Solrock: Difference between revisions

Solrock first appeared in ''[[AG099|It's Still Rocket Roll to Me!]]''. It battled against Liza's Lunatone where it was no match for the Meteorite Pokémon. When Solrock was charging up a {{m|Solar Beam}}, it was interrupted by Lunatone's {{m|Tackle}} but still managed to launch the move. Lunatone's {{m|Ice Beam}} was stronger and defeated Solrock. It was later seen lifting {{TRT}} in the air after {{AP|Corphish}} freed [[Max]] and Tate.

In ''[[AG100|Solid as a Solrock]]'', Solrock battled alongside Lunatone against [[Ash's Pikachu]] and {{AP|Swellow}} during {{Ash}}'s Gym battle with the twins. It started off with Tackle and then used Solar Beam. However, because of Lunatone's Ice Beam clashing with it, it ruined Tate's strategy and then Tate got into an argument with Liza. It left Solrock wide open for an attack coming from Pikachu's {{m|Iron Tail}}. Team Rocket came by and snatched Solrock and Lunatone from Tate and Liza. They escaped with the help of Ash's Pokémon and then finished Team Rocket with a combined {{m|Psychic}}.

The battle continued with Solrock using {{m|Sandstorm}} on Swellow. It dominated Pikachu and Swellow with the help of Lunatone. However, Pikachu's and Swellow's {{DL|Moves not in the Pokémon games|Thunder Armor}} proved to be very powerful. As a result, Solrock was badly beaten by Pikachu's Iron Tail, winning Ash the {{badge|Mind}}.
