 Later, {{OBP|Deoxys|M07}} arrived and unleashed numerous clones to abduct every human and Pokémon in sight, and when one of the clones went after May, Sid sacrificed himself to save her, and was taken prisoner by Deoxys. Thanks to the efforts of Ash and his friends, Sid and the others were saved. When energy needed to be restored to the city, Sid helped by having his Blastoise use {{m|Hydro Pump}} to move the windmills. Even after everything was resolved, May still refused to give him a hug.
