Apparently, a traded Pokémon in Generation I cannot be renamed, even if the player has the same OT and Trainer ID number. I traded a Pokémon back to myself from Generation II (a Seadra), and even though the Gen I game I traded it to was the same one it came from, I couldn't give it a new name. | |||
