:According to the information in the article, it sounds like the answer is probably yes, using Pokemon from the same cartridge after restarting the game and playing in a different language would most likely activate the Masuda method. However, I'm not sure if this has been specifically tested, so I'm going to add a research template to the article in the hopes that someone can tell us for certain.
