	After many hours of searching for Heracross by ~~hea butting~~ what apparently were not special trees, I tried the tree pictured in the above post, and Heracross appeared after the third try. I cannot confirm all of the factors that are theorized to contribute to the locations of special trees being different for each save file, but I do know that I was finally able to get Heracross after many hours of searching and not once appearance until then. Now, I just need to figure out how to get Mew and Celebi to complete my pokedex...
