I just noticed in watching this episode again that Ash and Gary seem to imply that they do not know each other, I don't know if this would be relevant as trivia for this episode because it contradicts The Ties that Bind and the whole half Pokeball thing. Gary says "you must be Ash" and "at least you get the chance to meet me", although it does seem from their conversation as if Ash knows who Gary is. Maybe this is something that just got dubbed differently, if anyone knows let me know. Was the Ho-oh that appeared was Shiny.
