The Demo Game Booster Pack was released before the 1st edition base set. It contained 24 Pokemon cards from the shadowless printing. It is rumored that it was used to demo the card game at stores. | |||
Two "trainer decks" - Trainer Deck A and B - were released for league leaders to learn about the Pokemon game. Each card inside is identical to the shadowed base set printing, except for a red rim around the back border and the words "Trainer Deck A" (or B) also on the back. The Machamp and Blastoise in these decks are notable because neither is a holo and the Machamp has no 1st edition stamp. | |||
