I guess they wanted to go for a consistent naming convention that matches with the respective generation's main series games, instead of the stand-alone original names, hence the addition of ''Pokémon the Series'' in the names. Though, that is just my assumption on the subject. And it is not just the case with iTunes, but Beyond has also been releasing the DVD sets under the new names. So far, we have only seen AG and DP getting "new" names. Anyway, the source is good enough for this season's title. The name change for the previous seasons will most likely be acknowledged in their respective trivia sections (yet to be finalized).
